About Me
I live in Maine and in my blog, News From Hawkhill Acres, I write mostly humorous essays about home schooling, writing and being a WAHM, whose mantra is "I'm a willow; I can bend."
Humor writing isn't something I chose; it chose me. I've spent most of my life having people tell me that I have to take life more seriously, but no one has given me a valid reason, so I continue to ignore them. Except for experiencing a handful of tragic events that sobered me, I've gone through life seeing absurdity, irony and the comic aspect of almost everything. I aspire to follow in the footsteps of Will Cuppy, Benchley, Thurber, Ogden Nash and Wodehouse, but so far seem to be producing mostly lightweight fluff. I'll keep working on it.
