I go by gurlnlifemagazine because it is the title of one of my favorite songs. I first used it to send a crush a secret admirer e-mail. Pretty sweet huh? I have been writing my entire life. I think I was about 7 years old when I wrote my first short story at Christmas and shared it with my family. Since then I have written hundreds of poems and forgotten just as many due to the fact that I never used to carry around a pen and paper on me (don't worry, I now always have both on hand).

My writing is based off of both personal events in my life and fiction. The stories I tell in my work could be anyones and not just mine. I like to write short and meaningful poems because I think you can say much more with less words. It's not about the amount of words but the powerful and expressive way you use them. My poetry is dark and uplifting because that is me. However, I think my dark poems are great reflection of me in my early 20's. Now that I'm pushing 30 in a few years I have taken a different look at my life and I have a different attitude towards things. But I can't forget where I came from and how I got here. Which is why I adore my darker poems.

When it comes to reviews I like honestly, sincerity, contructive criticism and tasteful feedback. That's how I give my reviews because I believe everyone deserve to hear what they need to hear and not what they want. None of us are above the truth.
