Without wings, the ground is our home, calling us to texture and smell. Our feet become the point of connection in constant love play with earth.

We need so little, to live the life of a soul, and those small things made by the hands of friends -- homemade raspberry rhubarb jam, gloves knit from the wool of grazing sheep -- someone needs to remember.

Without wings, like a fallen angel,
that is how I feel this morning,   

worrying and wondering
if I lost my way,
or if it's just another day
with no wind.
