Here is an excerpt from my newest piece of writing, the first time sharing in public- on this site, let me know what you think :) 

Height: 5’9” Weight:110 (at most) BMI: 15.73 (Underweight is 18.5)We all hold things inside us that no one else can see. They weigh us down like anchors, and drown us out at sea.Dried sunflower petals, withered and fallen. Wilted and dead. While no one would argue that they might have once held great beauty; by the time they are deprived of nutrients, water, and sunlight they become shriveled remains of what used to be. Hanging upside down on a wall, they are just a skeletal remain of what beauty they previously contained. That is my mother; a living, breathing, skeleton. Well, arguably living. Once you have stripped yourself down to tissue and bones, when your organs begin to fail, your mind starts to lose control- can it really be called living?
