I've read the first one and bought the second one (Of the Necroscope series), though I haven't had a chance to delve into it. The first book was pretty awesome, so I'm looking forward to it.

Another great vampire book is: The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

Brian Lumley is an excellent writer and his vampires are truly horrific. I've read most of the Necroscope books and their various spin-offs and would recommend them to anyone interested in reading vampire based fiction that has unique twists enough to leave one spinning for days. ::biggrin::
