( -_- the singing moments are always difficult to jot down, anyway onwards with the story) “Meg,” Christine started “When your mother brought me here to live. Whenever I’d come down here alone, to light a candle for my father, a voice - from above, and in my dreams, he was always there. You see, when my father lay dying, he told me I would be protected by an angel, an angel of music,” Christine said convinced that her Angel of Music has and been there to protect her. Meg listened to her best friend and then spoke. “Christine,” Meg started. “Do you believe? Do you think the spirit of your father is coaching you?” Meg asked her eyebrows creasing with a little bit of disbelief. “Who else Meg?” Christine asked. “Who?” Christine asked as Meg looked away her eyebrows still creased in. “Father once spoke of an angel. I’d used to dream he’d appear. Now as I sing I can sense him. And I know he’s here,” Christine sang swayed with believing her Angel of Music had made its presence. “Here in this room he calls me softly. Somewhere inside, hiding,” Christine continued getting up from the floor with Meg following. “Somehow I know, he’s always with me. He the unseen genius,” Christine sang her eyes looking around as if her Angel would come out to her at any second. (<- that’s the right lyrics right?) “Christine you must have been dreaming,” Meg sang taking her friend’s hand leading her astray from the room. “Stories like this can’t come true. Christine you’re talking in riddles, and it’s not like you,” Meg sang as she led her friend up the stairs hoping that Christine would pay attention to what she was saying and get through to her. “Angel of Music, guide and guardian. Grant to me your glory,” (Christine) “Who is this angel? This...” (Meg) “Angel of Music, hide no longer. Secret and strange angel,” (Both)
“He's with me, even now,” (Christine)
“Your hands are cold,” (Meg)
“All around me,” (Christine)
“Your face, Christine, is white!” (Meg)
“It frightens me,” (Christine)
“Don't be frightened,” Meg reassured as she continued to lead Christine back to where the others were.

Meg eventually found Madam Giry where Meg had to return back to her dorms where Madame Giry would lead to her new room where she would be sleeping. Unfortunately, there were mobs of fans and reporters waiting for Christine asking for her words. Madame Giry shooed them away shutting them out from the room as Christine safely entered without difficulty. Closing the door behind her, Madame Giry faced Christine with a smile. “You did very well, my dear,” Madame Giry said putting her hand to Christine’s face. She then turned away to pick up a single red rose as perfect as can be, with a lovely black satin string tied up like a bow on the stem and handed it to Christine.
“He's pleased with you,” Madame Giry said. Christine took the rose as Madame Giry headed outside the room and examined it. It was long and the satin was a soft as can be.

“Ah, Vicomte. Vicomte I think we've made quite a discovery with Miss Daae,” Monsieur Firmin said with a bouquet of flowers in his hands spotting Raoul heading his to Christine. Raoul turned to the two managers and smiled in anticipation to see Christine however.
“Perhaps we can present her to you,” Andre suggested raising an eyebrow with a teasing smile.
“Dear Vicomte,” Monsieur Firmin motivated.
Madame Giry closes the door with care behind her spotting the three men.
“Gentlemen, if you wouldn't mind, this is one visit I should prefer to make unaccompanied,” Raul assured smiling ready to go but then turned back to Firmin and Andre’s bouquets taking them and walking towards the room.
“Thank you,” Raoul said lastly.
“It would appear they've met before,” Firmin said to Andre in a little bit of disbelief.
“Yes,” Andre said in response.

Raoul opened the door to see Christine sitting upon the floor near lit candles surrounded by flowers and to her side a rather large mirror still looking at the wonderful rose her eyebrows creased. “Little Lotte, let her mind wonder,” Raoul said as he entered the room.

(Ok, this one is extremely long, because I decided that it’s time Meg ((& Kathy)) finally meets the phantom!)   Kathy walked back to her dorm, shivering. It was almost winter, she realized, and it was becoming cold. She untied her satin shoes and put them under her bed, climbing under the covers. She was a little sad that she didn’t get to dance as a harem girl, but then it was her own fault. Besides, it wasn’t all that bad spending an entire evening with Leandro. In fact, it was the most fun she’s had in a while. Her body felt so heavy, and her heart was peaceful. She was so tired. So very tired. She’ll have to congratulate Christine later. Deeply she breathed, and soon she fell asleep, and didn’t even stir when Meg found her way back to the dorm.
“Katherine,” Someone was shaking her, “Katherine! Wake up!”               She moaned groggily and cracked open one eyelid. Was she late for rehearsals again? But instead of an annoyed Madame Giry, she found that it was Meg standing over her.               “Meg--? What…”               “You have to come with me,” Meg said urgently, “Something’s wrong. Christine’s not in her room. She’s not with the Vicomte or anyone else, either.”               “Christine?” Kathy climbed out of bed, threw a coat over her shift and strapped on her shoes.               “She’s disappeared. I’ve been there once already. There’s a passageway behind her dressing room mirror. I wanted to follow it onward, but Mama found me before I could. Mama’s gone to bed now, so I think we can go exploring. Bring a candle. All the candles in Christine’s room are blown out and they can’t be relit. Meet me in her dressing room in ten minutes.”               Meg exited the room quickly as Kathy scrambled to get a candle.

The dressing room was so dark it was spooky. Kathy stayed to the bright orange flame in her hand. Meg took the lead as she slid the glass back and revealed a cobweb-covered passageway. A feeling of excitement took over Kathy’s fear and she stepped though, following Meg.               The corridor was dark and dank, but the candles lit it well enough so she could see the rats and nasty crawlies on the floor. Kathy was careful to step over them, not wanting to ruin her shoes.               This is just plain creepy, she thought, grinning to herself, This is a lot better than any of the horror stories the little ballet girls tell!

They had been walking for at least an hour when they arrived at a large lake. A gondola was settled at the dock, and the girls filed into it. They rowed across the boat, with Kathy’s back facing the far end.               They were in shallow water when Meg suddenly froze.               “Meg?” Kathy prompted.               “Turn around,” Meg rasped.               Kathy turned around and found herself face to face with a white half-mask. Oh dear, she gulped. The Phantom of the Opera.

Leandro? Leandro!” Madame Giry said worried shaking Leandro from his sleep. “Madame?” Leandro said groggily. “Katherine, I cannot even find Marguerite, come I think they’re in danger,” Madame Giry said worried. “I’ll help look,” Leandro said merely as he scurried to help Madame Giry look for her two lost ballerinas.

“Perhaps they were in search of the Phantom?” Leandro suggested recalling recent events. “Maybe, but if they had we should go look,” Madame Giry said leading the way. They went and pursued the passages and entry ways towards the Phantom’s lair and soon stumbled upon the river that streamed underground the entire Theatre. “The gondolas are gone,” Madame Giry said finding it hopeless to look for her daughter and Katherine. “There’s always swimming,” Leandro said. He took off his shoes and socks, and shirt only having his pants and undershirt. “See you in a bit,” Leandro said as he dove in the water. “Leandro, no!” Madame Giry said too late for he soon disappeared in the water. Madame Giry sucked her teeth but then took the oil lit lamp up the swirled staircase as she went to go find another way through the water.

Katherine and Meg stayed frozen in fear as they were confronted by the Phantom. Kathy however snapped out of her daze of fear that turned to courage. “Where’s Christine?!” Kathy demanded. “Kathy, no!” Meg pleaded as she grabbed onto her friend’s arm. “That’s none of your concern,” the Phantom said simply in his ghostly voice. “Yes, it is! That’s our friend!” Kathy shouted pushing the Phantom. The Phantom looked at Kathy with vicious eyes. Kathy was little timid but stood her ground, Christine was her friend and Kathy and Meg were going to get her back whether the Phantom liked it or not. “Not a wise decision, maybe for your “friend’s” sake you should banish yourselves,” The Phantom warned running out of patience. “No! For our friend’s sake you’re staying away from her!” Kathy yelled. “Kathy!” Meg said a little worried and frightened and the consequence of her words. The Phantom took out his noose and then tied Kathy around with it dumping Meg to the water. Meg fell off the gondola and wasn’t receiving the punishment that he planned to give Kathy. Kathy was tied around into a snare from the rope and her mouth was gagged as well. She was then dumped into the water.  The Phantom then swayed away with his gondola and then vanished.

Leandro heard the commotion and swam near them. He was good swimmer (well of course he was, he was able to go into export ships and able to steal some goods and imports to serve him well, a well experienced bandit) and knew his way through water without making noise. “Kathy!” Meg yelled searching endlessly for her body. Meg couldn’t swim very well and just splashed at the water unable to find Kathy. “Meg!” Leandro yelled as he walked toward them. He was all wet but didn’t mind this was actually quite entertaining despite the fact that Kathy was missing. “Kathy! I’m fine! But Kathy, I can’t find her after she fell over!” Kathy said. “Go back, from where you came and if feel sick stay there and wait for me, if you don’t go back upstairs and look for your mother. Go!” Leandro demanded. Meg did so and wasn’t sure how she was feeling maybe her head would clear up once she reached the stairs. Leandro looked around in the water and then dove in. Her body had drifted off to another place, a few yards away from where she was dropped. Leandro untied her snare and the gaga but she seemed unconscious. He picked up her body from the water bridal style. Usually, Leandro joke to ease tension but this was a far worse situation. It reminded him of her…

(aha! Bringing her in now, are you?)   Leandro continued to carry Kathy’s body towards the surface and then laid her down. He pressed his ear against her chest and then to her nose. “She’s not breathing,” Leandro said seeing Meg there. “You alright?” Leandro asked. “No,” Meg said simply as she vomited the water that she swallowed when she had fallen. “Never go wandering off like that,” Leandro said a little upset. Meg was a little confused she had seen Leandro get upset, he was usually serene and peaceful. He started to press down on Kathy’s chest as he performed CPR. After a few compressions, Kathy coughed out water and it seemed the water was ceaseless to end as it escaped from her mouth. “Come on,” Leandro said as he helped Kathy up.
“Bold words for one who was looking death at the face,” Leandro said as Kathy was trembling to her feet.
He picked her up once again, bridal style as Meg followed behind gaining conscious better.

“Marguerite! Katherine!” Madame Giry said as she hugged her daughter, releasing panic. Leandro had leaded them away back to their dormitory. Some girls had awaken from the fuss and watched and whispered as they watched the scene. Leandro was wet when he entered and put Kathy’s body down on her bed, she had fallen asleep. “She’s fine, she just fell asleep on her way here,” Leandro said. He sat down on a chair next to her bed to make sure her pulse was right, and that she was breathing normally.  Meg went somewhere else to change into another night gown. Madame Giry watched Leandro in surprise, he was like a doctor. “How did you know just what to do?” Madame asked firmly wondering about their new recruit in the Theatre. Leandro was about to respond when he was met with a towel to his head. A ballerina and her friend were giggling as they were trying to dry Leandro just an excuse to get close to him. “Thanks for saving Kathy and Meg,” they said giggly and girly. “Will you be here all night?”  One girl asked. “I don’t will I?” Leandro asked looking at Madame Giry. Madame Giry kept a straight face as she thought about it. Kathy and Meg would need the check-ups and it would be a little controversial to have him in the girls’ dormitory, but it would be too disturbing to have Meg and Kathy with the rest of backstage crew, the middle aged, alcoholic men. Scandalous!   “No you’ll stay here,” Madame Giry said at last. The girls in the room went into a fierce whisper of excitement. “Girls, be on your best behavior, I trust you Leandro do not destroy my trust. Meg if you feel sick in any way report to Leandro, I want a full report on how Kathy and Meg are the next morning, understood?” Madame Giry asked. “Yes, Madame,” Leandro said understanding. “Alright, and do please change your clothes,” Madame said seeing as how it gets chilly at night and how he would be freezing. The girls gasped in an even louder sound of excitement. “Someplace else!” Madame Giry added as she left the room and closed the door behind her. Leandro took the towel off his head and the looked to the side. All of the girls were staring at him with interested eyes and smiled at him or waved at him. “So, Leandro, how did you know just what to do?” a girl asked. “That’s sort of private,” Leandro said his eyes dimming a little. The girls just giggled and thought he was so mysterious. “Please tell us,” a girl asked. “No, sorry, girls,” Leandro said apologetically. The girls awed as they then knew they had to go to bed. Leandro didn’t mind if he didn’t change, as a bandit, you had to face all weather situations and learn to make the biggest sacrifices.

(OMG, who is “her”???? Who is Leandro reminded of??? OMG, did she die? Ahhhh! Tension! Jamillet, you’re in on it, too, aren’t you?! LOL, Daniel, you got Kathy spot on! She’s the reckless type. Thank you 2. You’re the best! *hugs* L I will be on, but not that often, because I have to go to Macdonalds/7-Eleven/Aunt’s House for wireless connection (CURSE you, house!))   Ding, ding, ding… her head was pounding. Christine drew the curtains back and stepped from the bed. Where was she? “I remember there was mist…” she murmured to herself, musing, “Swirling mist upon a vast, grassy lake…” she strode out. The lake was there, mist swirling in graceful dance. “There were candles all around and on the lake there was a boat,” her eyes fixed on the boat and she was almost sure that yesterday was not a dream. “And in the boat there was a man…” sweet music jolted her from her thoughts and when she looked, she found a man sitting at the organ. A man with a white half mask. Her angel of music. The Phantom of the Opera. “Who was that shape in the shadows?” she questioned, barely aware of her own movement as she treaded forward, mesmerized, “Who’s was the face in the mask?” Her fingers cupped around his face, as if in a caress…and then she ripped the mask off. He struck her, knocking her to the floor angrily, howling in agony. Christine shrieked, petrified by the horrid monstrosity before her.  She was terrified, and yet she could not bring herself to close her eyes. “Damn you!” he screamed with rage, “You little prying Pandora! You wanted to see! Curse you! Now you cannot ever be free! Damn you! Curse you!” Another string of curses followed this.  She lay on the cold stone floor, sobbing feebly. Christine decided then, that even if she lived to be a hundred, she shall never forget that face! The mask covers that swollen, red, uneven skin that stretched skeletally across his cheek. Scars crisscrossed along his sick, shriveled flesh. Terrible white spots of bones poked out from his appalling rotten raw. His left eyelid was pulled back, his eye sunken! It was Death’s head!  Oh horror, horror, horror!

The Phantom filled with rage knocked down anything in his way and shouted his curses without hesitation; he faced away Christine his back to her, his face the other direction. “Stranger than you dreamt it, can you even dare to look or bear to think of me: this loathsome gargoyle, who burns in bell, but secretly yearns for heaven, secretly...secretly …Christine…” Christine was still frozen in a mixture of repulse, fear, and regret as she watched the Phantom walk around still covering the disfigured form of his face. Looking at the waxed figure of Christine he continued: “Fear can turn to love - you'll learn to see to find the man behind the monster: this repulsive carcass, who seems a beast but secretly dreams of beauty, secretly…secretly…Oh, Christine...” he whispered at the point of her name. Christine in tears looks down and then at the Phantom again handing over the mask she had once dared to take off. The Phantom took it without hesitation as it put the mask back on to cover what should have always been covered. “Come we must return. Those two fools who run my theatre will be missing you,” The Phantom said finally.

Leandro heard Kathy start to murmur in her sleep and then she gasped awake to her surprise and find herself in bed, soaking wet and a little dry. “Ya know you should be more careful,” Leandro said as he took Kathy’s wrist to read her pulse. He was writing it down and seemed to have been every hour. “Your writing?” Kathy asked sitting up in bed. “Yes, I’m a bandit but I did actually did receive an education ya know,” Leandro said scribbling his information down. “No I meant why do you have to write?” Kathy asked. “I keep track of your pulse, so far you’ve been improving except for this last hour, you seemed to have had a nightmare which would explain your fast quick rate,” Leandro said. “Yeah, I did,” Kathy said running her temples. “Must have been the dream but you show no after fear,” Leandro said impressed. “I guess. How do you know how to do all this by the way?” Kathy asked. “A bandit learns and knows,” Leandro said simply. “Yeah but you know CPR, you could have killed me you know if you haven’t had experience in saving lives,” Kathy said. “Well, yeah I did have a family,” Leandro said. “Did?” Kathy asked. “Yeah,” Leandro said as he continued to take notes. “Well what happened to them?” Kathy asked. Leandro placed his hand on Kathy’s forehead. “No fever, good,” Leandro said. “You’re not going to tell me are you?” Kathy said. “Nope not really,” Leandro said smiling at himself. They then turned to hear a ballerina murmur in agony. “Leandro? Leandro my head hurts,” The girl said. Leandro hesitated to help her out. “You’ve all been working too hard and you seriously need a break, what’s with all the girls getting headaches tonight?” Leandro asked. “Isn’t it obvious?” Kathy asked. “Yes, but you never know, as a doctor wannabe you cannot take chances,” Leandro said as he walked away. Kathy wanted to know what happened to his family. She couldn’t help her curiosity. She’ll find out later.

(Eek! The “No One Would Listen” Scene! This was not in the movie (it was deleted, sadly) so you’d have to look it up on youtube to listen to it, but I decided to include it this time…tee-hee…more phantom goodness! Let the matchmaking begin!! I know Kathy’s kind of stealing Meg’s thunder, but I don’t think Meg would’ve done it as Kathy did, and we don’t want Meg and Erik to be friends, we want them to be lovers… This is where Kathy tries to help Erik win Christine and Meg helps too and then Meg can’t carry on with the plan because she fell in love with the phantom herself a that’s our plot, folks! Kathy and Erik are just FRIENDS, you hear me, FRIENDS! PS this is a super long note and a super long post. Me: THAT ACTUALLY RHYMES!!! THAT’S AWESOME!!! Sorry…had too much sugar yesterday before going to bed…)   “Christine’s back!” were the first words that came out of Meg’s mouth when she came in the morning, refreshed and healthy, to see Kathy. Kathy sighed and rubbed her temples a little. “Alright,” she said, climbing out of bed, “I’m coming.” Leandro had watched over her tirelessly all night long and had fallen asleep since she’d woken up. She smiled a little, looking at his sleeping figure. He seemed peaceful in his slumber, much more peaceful than when he was awake, even though he tried to hide it behind a quick grin and a witty remark. She pressed a quick kiss to her fingertips and then touched it gently to his forehead, and her heart fluttered. “Thank you,” she whispered. Then she followed Meg down to Christine’s dressing room. Christine was lying in bed. She was extremely pale and frightened. Madame Giry was in the room also, and she glared at Meg and Kathy. “Stay with her,” Madame Giry instructed, “I will have to start warm-ups. You two are senior members of the corps de ballet. I trust you can skip practice for a day?” “Yes, Ma’am,” Kathy replied. “Yes, Maman,” Meg did as well. “And don’t get up to any mischief while I’m gone,” Madame Giry warned, “Remember, keep your hand and the level of your eyes!” And she exited the room. “Will you be alright alone for a moment, Kathy?” Meg asked as soon as she did, “I need to put some proper shoes on,” she glanced down at her feet sheepishly, “Before Maman notice, that is.” “Alright,” Kathy said, looking over Christine intently. Meg smiled before walking out gracefully, leaving Kathy in the dressing room. Silence. And then suddenly there was a voice. No one would listen….no one but her…heard as the outcast hears… Kathy’s brows furrowed. It was a beautiful tenor, and yet there was no one else in the room. Christine moaned in her fitful sleep and turned to face the wall. Kathy drowned all other noise, intent on hearing the voice again. And indeed, there it was. Shamed into solitude…shunned by the multitude…I learned to listen, and in the dark my heart heard music…She was almost sure the music came from the mirror now, sure as anything. “Alright,” she breathed to herself as she slid the mirror back. Stepping into the underground world, she hurried, following the voice as she ran hastily. I long to teach the world, rise up and reach the world…This was the phantom’s voice! She realized it for fact. It was the voice that had nearly stunned her into silence yesterday, the deep, ringing voice! And yet now it was slightly hoarse and unstable, as if the singer had been weeping. No one would listen. I alone could hear the music…than at last, a voice in the gloom, seems to cry: I hear you! I see your fears: your torment and your tears….Kathy sprinted for the dock, leaped into the gondola and rowed as if her life depended on it. She sprinted toward the shore, only to stop and hold her breath when she found the Phantom amidst his underground kingdom, as kingly as the highest emperor and yet as lost and broken as the poorest beggar, looking over a charcoal sketch of Christine, and she suddenly realized why the phantom had kidnapped the Swedish soprano. She saw my loneliness, he continued to sing, not noticing she was there, shared in my emptiness…no one would listen…no one but her heard as the outcast hears. He finished gently, rubbing a tear from his visible cheek. “I’m sorry,” Kathy said quietly from her spot at the edge of the cave, “I didn’t know you loved her.” His voice trembled as he spoke next, “Please. Stop tormenting me,” he whirled around, his topaz eyes glittering, “Stop coming here. I know you know the way. Just…please…stop.” But Kathy ignored him and went and sat beside him, looking up at him thoughtfully, “You know, you can’t win her love by kidnapping her.” They sat in silence for a moment, and then Kathy opened her mouth again. “What’s your name?” she asked. He looked surprised for a moment as he looked down at her. Nobody had ever asked him that. Everyone called him “the Phantom” and Christine called him “Angel”. “Come on,” she continued, “Everyone has a name. You can’t seriously be called Phantom,” she winked as she felt a bit of Leandro’s strength rushing into her in the form of a joke. “Erik,” He surprised even himself as he offered his hand to Kathy. Kathy grinned. “I’m Kathy, and I’d like to be your friend.” She shook his hand and smiled. He took a deep breath. Friend. The first real friend he’ll ever have. Friend. “Alright,” he took a deep breath, knowing he had probably reached some invisible point of no return somehow, “Alright, friend.”

“May I ask you a question then, friend?” The Phantom asked sheepishly not too confident into this whole friend thing. It would some getting used to. “Sure,” Kathy replied. “That boy, I’m pretty sure you know him. I sent him a message and even saw him once; he had brown reddish hair and wolf-like features. What is his name?” the Phantom asked. “Oh, the new recruit? That’s Leandro, you the one who saved me every time, I uhm well got into trouble,” Kathy said turning red. “Yes, he’s a respectable human,” The Phantom said recalling when they met. “You’ve met!” Kathy asked in surprise her eyes bugging out. “Yes, the first time I sent him a message after you had fallen from the upper stage settings. The second time was when you fell through my staircase snare, Leandro came and destroyed it to free you, I do believe he came back after you after our little disagreement?” The Phantom asked. “Yeah he did, and he broke it! Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry! Is it still ruined?” Kathy asked trying to stay on the Phantom’s good side. “No, he fixed it he actually made it stronger then it was before, he also said that he wouldn’t publicize the times when we would meet, he gave me my privacy,” the Phantom explained. “Yes, he’s an honest man and quite humorous,” Kathy added. “He’s a good friend too you know,” Kathy said smiling eagerly to the Phantom. “You must go back” The Phantom said suddenly. “Oh yeah!” Kathy said remembering she had left Christine all alone. Kathy scrambled to her feet and then ran towards the gondola that was anchored ashore. Kathy pushed the gondola out and then started to row herself away eagerly waving at the Phantom. “I’ll be back!” Kathy said as she soon disappeared within the passages of the exit.

Kathy scurried upstairs and sat down promptly just in time with Meg and Leandro entering through the door a few seconds later. “How is she?” Meg asked as she entered in and went to Christine’s side. “She’s uhm still sleeping and mumbling,” Kathy said trying to improvise on Christine’s actions. “Let me take a look,” Leandro as he walked over to Christine. As Leandro was focused on Christine, Kathy walked over to Meg and then whispered in her ear: “I have something to tell you,” Meg turned to Kathy and then whispered back: “What?” “She’s opening her eyes,” Leandro announced as he pulled away from Christine. Christine opened her eyes to meet Kathy, Meg, and Leandro and tried to get up. “Oh no, lie down and rest,” Leandro instructed as he put Christine back down. He opened Christine’s eye flashing a light inside and did the same towards the other eye. He felt her pulse and checked her breathing. “She’s fine, just facing exhaustion and some trauma,” Leandro said. “How did you learn to do this?” Kathy asked curiously. “Bandits know, plus I did have help from my family,” Leandro said merely. “Your family? You’re a bandit, where are they? They’re not dead are they?” Meg asked curious about the French/Irish stage helper. “Yes, they’re dead. I’m the last one of them if you must know,” Leandro said feeling uncomfortable explaining it all. “You mean no mother? Father? Sister? Brother?” Kathy asked. “Well, I might as well tell you now then,” Leandro said sighing. “I had a little sister my mother and father died from starvation. I couldn’t really provide. Anyway I know so much medical training because once see your seven year old kid sister coughing her lungs out you want to keep your last blood alive as long as possible,” Leandro explained. “What happened to her?” Kathy asked interested in Leandro’s past. “Sorry, I’m afraid you’re allowed to know about that chunk of information,” Leandro said getting up. “See ya’,” he said leaving the room escaping before he let any more information out.

(OMG I just realized something—Erik kills someone…I don’t think that’ll help matters any at all, Kathy-wise or Meg-wise, and very much less so Meg-wise.) Kathy had a plan. She was going to enlist Meg to be her accomplice, and they were going to help the Phantom—no, Erik—win Christine. But first, there seemed to be need to change into something that she wouldn’t drown in, if she accidentally falls into a lake.
Ten minutes later, Kathy stepped out of the costume department. She didn’t look like a ballet girl any more. In fact, she looked more like a young rogue from the street. She wore a black vest over a loose, white poet’s shirt, black pants, and to top it off, a brown leather trench coat. A hat settled lopsided over her head and her hair was tucked inside it. All in all, she looked like a boy. Alright, she thought to herself, Time to scare the living daylights out of Meg. And just like that, she was off. _____________________________________________________________________
“Meg? Meg!” she found her friend in the practice center. Meg nearly screamed her head off when Kathy grabbed her wrist and dragged her off into the darkness. “Shhh, Meg, it’s me. It’s Kathy!” She pulled her cap off and her dark brown hair came tumbling out. “Kathy?” Meg gasped, “But why are you here?” “There’s something I have to tell you, but you have to follow me first. Come on, before anyone notices that you’re gone!” “But the performance starts in half an hour and I’ve got to get changed—“ “Ten minutes is all I need, come on!”
Through the mirror down the hall, across the lake and out of the gondola. But no one was there. But there was no one there. “He must be gone off to Box 5 already,” Kathy said to herself, “Oh well. Let’s see if we’ll catch him at the performance! And they went back to the surface.

Firmin was walking promptly about from Paris’s streets and entered the theatre house with ease as other waited to get one step closer into entering. "Mystery after gala night. It says, "Mystery of soprano's flight!" Firmin started as he handed the paper to the men by his side. "Mystified all the papers say, we are mystified - we suspect foul play!" Firmin continued as he gave his hat, coat, and cane to be put away. “Bad news on soprano scene. First Carlotta, now Christine!” Firmin persisted as he watched the stage help scrub the floors, passing by them he walked up the steps still. “Still, at least the seats get sold. Gossip's worth its weight in gold...,” Frimin slowed as he acknowledged a woman and man cleaning. The woman curtsied at Firmin as politely as possible. “What a way to run a business! Spare me these unending trials! Half your cast disappears, but the crowd still cheers! Opera! To hell with Gluck and Handel! Have a scandal and you're sure to have a hint!” Firmin continued as he made his way up the steps. “Damnable!” Andre started coming from one of the hallways with a note in his hand. “Will they all walk out? This is damnable!” shouted Andre to Firmin as he made his way to his colleague. “Andre, please don't shout. It's publicity! And the take is vast! Free publicity!” hissed back Firmin to hopefully calm down the panicky manager. “But we have no cast!” Andre protested. “Andre, have you seen the queue?” started Firmin as they continued to walk but then noticed the note held in his hands. “Oh, it seems you've got one too,” Firmin said to his friend who held the note and too it out to read aloud. "Dear Andre, what a charming gala! Christine was in the world's sublime! We were hardly bereft when Carlotta left - On that note the diva is a disaster must you cast her when she's seasons past her prime!” Andre finished as Firmin started. "Dear Firmin, just a brief reminder: my salary has not been paid. Send it care of the ghost, By return of post P.T.O.: No-one likes a debtor, so it's better if my orders are obeyed!" “Who would have the gall to send this? Someone with a puerile brain!” they sneered in unison. “These are both signed "O.G,” noted Firmin. “Who the hell is he?” asked Andre with impatience with this mythical person. “Opera ghost!” they both said interpreting the initials. “It's nothing short of shocking!” remarked Firmin. “He's mucking our position!” added Andre. “In addition he wants money,” “What a funny aberration to expect a large retainer! Nothing plainer -he is clearly quite insane!” they finished to be interrupted by a familiar voice. “Where is she?” Raoul asked from the bottom of the staircase. “You mean Carlotta?” “I mean Miss Daae -where is she?” pursued Vicmonte as he started his way up the stairs. “Well, how should we know?” defended Firmin. “I want an answer. I take it that you sent me this note,” Raoul accused waving the note towards their faces. “What's all this nonsense?” Firmin asked bamboozled. “Of course not!” Andre spat back. “Don't look at us!” Firmin fortified. “She's not with you, then?” Raoul asked his eyebrows creased in. “Of course not!” repeated Firmin. “We're in the dark!” Andre said. “Monsieur, don't argue. Isn't this the letter you wrote?” Raoul asked as Andre and Firmin approached him. “And what is it, that we're meant to have wrote? Written!” corrected Firmin as Andre took the note from Roaul. "Do not fear for Miss Daae. The Angel of Music has her under his wing. Make no attempt to see her again,” Andre read aloud. “If you didn't write it, who did?” Raoul asked. “Where is he?” questioned Carlotta making her grand entrance. “Ah, welcome back!” welcomed Andre quickly. “Your precious patron - where is he?” Carlotta demanded. “What is it now?” Raoul asked making his way down the steps. “I have your letter - a letter which I rather resent!” Carlotta snapped. “And did you send it?” Firmin asked accusingly towards Vicomte. (Is that right? I keep forgetting how to spell it!) “Of course not!” objected Raoul. “As if he would!” Andre muttered. “You didn't send it?” questioned Carlotta in suspicion. “Of course not!” repeated Raoul. “What's going on?” Firmin asked. “You dare to tell me, that this is not the letter you sent?!” asked Carlotta waving the note. “And what is it that I'm meant to have sent?” Raoul asked taking the note from Carlotta. "Your days at the Opera Populaire are numbered. Christine Daae will be singing on your behalf tonight. Be prepared for a great misfortune, should you attempt to take her place,” Raoul read aloud. Carlotta was rather annoyed and hissed her name in annoyance. She couldn’t take these notes on Daae. “Far too many notes for my taste - and most of them about Christine!” started Firmin and Andre to hopefully console Carlotta. Taking each of her arms they lead her up the stairs. “All we've heard since we came is Miss Daae's name...” “Miss Daae has returned,” Madame Giry informed with her daughter by her side. “I hope no words for as far as we're concerned,” Richard remarked. “Where precisely is she now?” Andre asked. “I thought it best that she was alone...” Madame Giry said. “She needed rest,” added Meg. “May I see her?” Raoul asked. “No, monsieur, she will see no-one,” Madame Giry assured, even though she wanted Leandro, Kathy and Meg to take care of her. “Will she sing?” Carlotta asked with her partner in curiosity. “Here, I have a note...” Madame Giry said taking out her sent message “Let me see it!” Carlotta, Firmin, and Raoul asked. “Please!” added Firmin as he took the note and read aloud. "Gentlemen, I have now sent you several notes of the most amiable nature, detailing how my theatre is to be run. You have not followed my instructions. I shall give you one last chance... Christine Daae has returned to you, and I am anxious her career should progress. In the new production of "Il Muto", you will therefore cast Carlotta as the Pageboy, and put Miss Daae in the role of Countess. The role which Miss Daae plays calls for charm and appeal. The role of the Pageboy is silent - which makes my casting, in a word, ideal. I shall watch the performance from my normal seat in Box Five, which will be kept empty for me. Should these commands be ignored, a disaster beyond your imagination will occur. I remain, Gentlemen, Your obedient servant, O.G." read the note. “Christine!” spat Carlotta.  “Whatever next...?” asked Carlotta’s partner. “It's all a ploy to help Christine!” they accused. “This is insane...” said Firmin. “I know who sent this: The Vicomte - her lover!” Carlotta accused. “Indeed? Can you believe this?” Raoul hissed. “Signora!” Firmin called as his old star was walking away. “O traditori! This is a joke! This changes nothing! O mentitori! Signora! You are our star! And always will be! Signora...The man is mad! We don't take orders!” assured the managers as Carlotta went into her diva fits. “Miss Daae will be playing the Pageboy - the silent role...” assured Firmin. “Carlotta will be playing the lead!” affirmed the managers.

“It's useless trying to appease me! You're only saying this to please me!” Carlotta accused storming out into the backstage where dancers and actors were walking about getting ready for the show. “Signori, e vero?” called the managers. “Non, non, non voglio udire!” snapped Carlotta. “Lasciatemi morire! O padre mio! Dio!” Carlotta whined alongside her partner. “Who scorn his word, beware to those...” Madame Giry started. “You have reviled me!” Carlotta shouted as she walked right through the rehearsals of ballerinas pushing them out of her way. “The angel sees, the angel knows,” Madame Giry continued. “You have rebuked me!” Carlotta cried out. “Signora, pardon us...?” Firmin called as they all followed the diva. “You have replaced me!” continued Carlotta. “Please, Signora, we beseech you...,” begged the managers. “This hour shall see your darkest fears!” “Signora, sing for us!” pleaded the managers. As they made their way down the Grand Staircase for Carlotta was ready to make her way out. “Don't be a martyr,” sneered the managers. “What new surprises lie in store?” questioned Raoul and Meg from behind. “Our star...!” the public shouted as Carlotta made her way out. Paparazzi were waiting outside clapping for the group of people. “Would you please give this to Miss Daae?” asked one man handing a flower to Carlotta. “Miss Daae,” he repeated until the doors were finally closed on him.

( SOOOO LONG! WHOA DANNY!)  “Your public needs you! We need you, too!” Firmin and Andre said to the despaired soprano. “Would you not rather have your precious little ingenue?” Carlotta scoffed. “Signora, no!” Firmin and Andre assured. “The world wants you!” they said.

“Prima donna first lady of the stage! Your devotees are on their knees to implore you!” sucked up the managers as they rebuilt Carlotta’s room with bouquets and bushels of flowers. Her piaitng was once again put up as she had her make up done for Il Muto. “Can you bow out when they're shouting your name?” Andre asked as Firmin and Andre spoiled her with gifts of sweets which she shooed away in irritation. “Think of how they all adore you!” Firmin remarked as they offered her more gifts which she shooed away to both. “Prima donna, enchant us once again! Think of your muse... And of the queues round the theatre!” Firmin said as he handed her soft fur which she took in awe but shooed the flowers that Andre offered. “Can you deny us the triumph in store?” Andre asked as he offered Carlotta lovely jewels and Firmin a pooch. “Sing, prima donna, once more!” “Christine spoke of an angel…” remarked Raoul thinking of her disappearance. “Prima donna, your song shall live again!” Carlotta sang happily as her corset was tightened by Firmin for her preparations as the Countess. “Think of your public! You took a snub, but there's a public who needs you!” Firmin, Andre, and Carlotta said in unison. “She has heard the voice of the angel of music...” Madame Giry said as she took a dress for costume. “Those who hear your voice liken you to an angel!” Andre and Firmin complimented as they popped one of Carlotta’s heels off and poured champagne within it for Firmin to drink. “Think of their cry of undying support! We get our opera! She gets her limelight! Leading ladies are a trial!” “Prima donna, your song shall never die! You'll sing again, and to unending ovation!” Andre, Firmin, and Carlotta continued as they carried their star like slaves to keep her happy and from running away once again. “Orders! Warnings! Lunatic demands!” Raoul said finding his way in the Phantom’s lair. “Tears... oaths... lunatic demands are regular occurrences!” Firmin and Andre recalled. “Think how you'll shine in that final encore!” Carlotta happily said lazily enjoying her ride through the backstage theatre. “Surely there'll be further scenes worse than this!” Firmin and Andre said as they trudged through holding their star’s weight. “Think, before these demands are rejected!” said Raoul as he made his way up the Grand staircase. “Who'd believe a diva happy to relieve a chorus girl, who's gone and slept with the patron? Raoul and the soubrette, entwined in love's duet! Although he may deny, he must have been with her! You'd never get away with all this in a play, but if it's loudly sung and in a foreign tongue it's just the sort of story audiences adore, in fact a perfect opera!” Firmin and Andre continued as they prepared Carlotta slipping her grand dress over her and her fake wig. “Prima donna the world is at your feet! A nation waits, and how it hates to be cheated! Light up the stage with that age old rapport! Sing, prima donna, once more!” the entire world sang as everything was to be prepared for the show.

Leandro walked away to go help Joseph and the rest of the backstage crew with Il Muto. He then caught sight of Raoul making his to Box 5. “Monsieur, you shouldn’t go up there,” Leandro warned. “Or what? The ghost will attack me?” Raoul remarked smirking bravely. “Why not, his noose can easily find its way around your neck, but he surely will be angered,” Leandro persisted. “I’ll take my chances, don’t worry,” Raoul said walking away to Box 5.

Meg drew a deep breath. She didn’t know what Kathy was up to, nor what the managers thought they were doing, disobeying the phantom like that. Everything was so confusing, but she applied her makeup in silence anyway. And then she put on her costume mechanically, met with the other ballet girls backstage and waited for the curtain to rise. Her long blond hair had been curled and piled on top of her heard, and her entire face was powdered white. The curtain was drawn back by the stage hands, and the opera begin.           “They say that this youth has set my lady’s heart aflame!” The first woman trilled, closing her mouth with a sharp click.           “His lordship sure would die of shock!”           “His lordship is a laughingstock!”           “If he suspects her god protect her shame, shame, shame!”           She gently stepped onto the stage, preparing for her mime.           “This faithless lady’s bound for Hades…” The chorus sang again and she mimed along with her fingertips, “shame, shame, shame!”           And then Piangi, as the Count, sang a duet with Carlotta, as the Countess. Meg nearly sighed of relief. Everything was going as well as planned. That was, until Carlotta began singing her solo.          “Poor fool he makes me laugh! Hahahahaha!” She trilled triumphantly, “Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Time I tried to get a better half! Poor fool he doesn’t know, hohohohohoho! Ho ho ho hohohohohohoh—“           But she was interrupted when a voice rang through the air, dark. Powerful. Menacing.           “Did I not instruct,” The Phantom said, “That Box Five was to be left empty?”           “He’s here,” Meg stated simply, exchanging a glance with Christine and then Kathy, who was still backstage, “The Phantom of the Opera.”

“It’s him,” Christine said looking up at the where the Phantom was lurking. “Your part is silent little toad,” Carlotta hissed, snapping her fan at Christine but then giggling softly to the crowd. “A toad, Madame? Perhaps it is you who are the toad...,” the Phantom muttered to himself who eventually disappeared within the theatre once again. Carlotta excused herself to her maids who sprayed some of the Phantom’s liquid into her mouth. Excusing for actions, Carlotta continued. “Serafimo, away with this pretence! You cannot speak, but kiss me in my...,” Carlotta sang but her sounded like a frog unable to finish the words. Everyone gasped but he crowd had laughed. “Poor fool, he makes me laugh -” Carlotta continued nervously. “Hahahahaha!?” she finished once again with the tone of a toad. Her voice was completely transformed to sound like something she was. Backstage, they were telling her to exeunt the stage but she continued to make a fool of herself. Everyone burst in laughter. The curtains soon closed leaving one of the actors outside the curtains. “Get off!” the conductor order as he soon disappeared. “Ladies and gentlemen, we apologize, the performance will continue in ten minutes' time when the role of the Countess will be played by Miss Daae,” Firmin announced pulling Christine out from behind the curtains. The crowd applauded. “Until then, we will crave your indulgence for a few moments; meanwhile, we'd like to give you the ballet from Act Three of tonight's opera,” Andre said his voice cracking in edginess. “What?” the maestro asked in surprise. “Maestro, the ballet, bring, please,” Andre said still being ever so nervous stuttering on the words ballet. “The ballet,” the maestro ordered to the orchestra all in front of him to switch their notes to the scene. “The ballet, now, please,” Andre begged. “One moment, thank you,” the maestro said as he prepared everyone. “Thank you!” Firmin shouted to everyone. One of the actors from before appeared once again on stage and danced his way back to behind the curtains. The crowd laughed once again. “You’re fired,” he said the maestro said to the actor as he soon left the stage.

(I hope you're ok, Jamillet. In the meantime, we're going to give you a break!) Antoinette Giry felt a pang in her heart. Nothing good will come out of this, she knew, as she laced Christine into the spare of the Countess costume. It was never wise, disobeying the wishes of the Phantom, as the managers, the Vicomte, and la Carlotta had done tonight. They had been risking everything they had. He would be angry at them, no doubt. Antoinette untied Christine’s hair hurriedly, and pushed her out, sending her on her way before collapsing into a chair. And then she saw it. A blood-red rose, a thin, black satin ribbon snaking around it. She shivered as she glanced at the mirror. Something was wrong, deadly wrong, she could sense it. So she hiked up her skirts and ran.
Kathy struggled into her shepherdess costume, pulling at her sheep, wondering where Erik had gone. She wasn’t at all sure what to make of this situation, but she sure hope nothing bad would come out of it. She wanted to leave the stage, right now, and go down to his underground lair and check if he’s there, or if he’s out making some mischief elsewhere. But under the watchful eye of the managers from the box, and of the maestro in the orchestra pit, all she could do was keep her eyes open. So that was what she did. The music began and she pranced across the stage, dragging her sheep to the other side. There was going to be a bit of time before she has to go on again. She’ll have to find her flower wreathe first…And then she saw it. A hint of white against black above on the catwalk, the same place she saw it on the day Carlotta first walked out during the Rehearsals of Hannibal. It was him. She gasped as she saw what he was about to do. His eyes met hers for a moment, like the day she saw it first. And then the body of Joseph Buquet fell onto the stage, murdered, by the very man she had befriended earlier that day.

(Sorry its so short but I tried to put soemthing)  Meg screamed a blood curdling scream as did everyone else after catching sight of the dangling body that was murdered by this fabled ghost. Joseph Buquet’s body had fallen flat upon the ground after his struggle leaving everyone to panic, the dancers and actors shouted in fear and shock from the murder and get up from their seats feeling unsafe. The dancers crowd around each other in fear while others approach the body inspecting it. Leandro looked up to where the body had dropped to see the Phantom make his escape. “Really?” Leandro asked up to the Phantom. The Phantom didn’t answer and went on with his way to his lair. Leandro pulled the curtains to close and then headed on stage to pull the body away before any other dancers screamed their way into panic attacks. Pulling the body away he saw Mademoiselle Kathy make her escape most likely to find the Phantom. “Take him!” Leandro ordered to a colleague running after Kathy before she got into trouble. “Oi! Kathy!” Leandro called from behind. “Leandro?” Kathy answered turning around although kept moving forward trying to look both ways. “Where do you think you’re going?” Leandro asked frowning looking down to the dancer. “I have to find Erik!” Kathy responded and then scurried off to where the Phantom ought to be. Leandro pulled off his cap and squeezed it but was ambushed by some other dancers to help calm down fellow ballerinas and other actors from hyper ventilation.  The Vicomte got up from his seat and then ran off to find his beloved to make sure that if anyone she was safe. “Are you alright?”“Raoul, we're not safe here,” Christine answered in pure fear pulling him away. The audience was still in panic fanning themselves heavily and quickly all wanting to leave the area after the incident. “Ladies and gentlemen, please remain in your seats. Do not panic. It was an accident... simply an accident,” the manager called from his box whereas André was still in such a panic couldn’t speak.

(sorry it took so long...I HAVE SO MUCH HOMEWORK!!!!)   “Why have you brought me here?” Raoul demanded urgently, “We must return!” Christine shook her head, dragging him up the staircase, “We can’t go back there. He’ll kill you!” Her eyes stung with tears at how true she knew her statement was, ignoring Raoul’s protest of, “Christine, don’t say that.” He would kill him, kill her even. “His eyes will find us there, those eyes that burn!” she shuddered, remembering his eyes, flaming coals that seemed to burn through her soul. “Don’t even think it!” Raoul interrupted but she wouldn’t stop. “And if he has to kill a thousand men, the Phantom of the opera will kill, and kill again!” Another flight of stairs. A little more and then to safety.   “My god who is this man who hunts to kill?” her voice quavered. Who was this man, this mystery? Who is this ruthless murderer who would kill, for her? “I can’t escape from him….I never will! And in this labyrinth where night is blind, the Phantom of the Opera is here inside my mind!” She flung the door to the roof open and stepped out into the cold, snowy night.   “There is no Phantom of the Opera!” Raoul insisted sensibly. How she wished she could believe him!   “Raoul, I’ve been there,” she swallowed, “To his world of unending night! To a world where the daylight dissolves into darkness…..darkness…Raoul, I’ve seen him!” she pleaded, “Can I ever forget that sight? Can I ever escape from that face so…” She closed her eyes, “So distorted…deformed…that it was hardly a face? In that darkness….darkness…..” she shivered slightly, but it was not from the cold. “But his voice filled my spirit with a strange, sweet, sound…in that night, there was music in my mind…And through music my soul began to soar….and I heard as I’ve never heard before…”   “What you heard was a dream, and nothing more,” Raoul came up to her and took her cold hands into his own.
