Challenge of the Week - #10

As writers, we have to play many different roles to successfully market our works. From sales persons, to marketers, to advertisers we have to manage to develop a series of skills to promote our work and make sure someone gets to read it. I believe as writers, our ultimate goal is to have someone to listen to what we have to say.

Probably in high school, at some point you were asked to create an advertising campaign. To come up with an idea to sell a product, perhaps even of your own invention. Now, when marketing our work it is sometimes hard to find the right expressions.
So lets practice a little, trying to sell instead of products, concepts. After all, our writings are concepts, and that is what we are trying to get people to pay attention to.

What would you say? What kind of campaign/pitch would you create, if you had to sell concepts that people do not think about too often?

I challenge you to create a short paragraph (no more than 150 words) in which you would advertise one of the following concepts:

-Wisdom
-Common Sense
-Truth
-Thoughtfulness

Get creative and see what you can come up with. What would you tell someone to buy these concepts?

Have fun!

And remember you have time to submit your piece until Sunday night, and voting time is until Monday 2pm EST.

quick example:

Truth

Symbols, ideas, beliefs are validated by a single person or a community. A set of occurrences can be observed in human interaction, which offer significant, stable explanations for issues related to the idea of truth in human experience.

Are you tired of feeling deceived? Upset at the feeling of something oppressed in your chest? Try it today, Truth might be what you need to bring smiles back to your life.

Here's my entry. Hope I posted in correct place. First time.

Wisdom

Wisdom is like fire.

When handled properly, it purifies, cleanses, and brings warmth to your heart and your soul. Wisdom consumes the hatred and the jealousy. Wisdom cleanses the soul of torment and confusion. Wisdom leaves behind rich soil for seeds of peace, prosperity, wholeness and joy.

Wisdom helps you produce great things by getting rid of the unnecessary, drawing attention to hot spots and fanning out into untouched areas for better coverage and a longer burn.

Life without wisdom is dark. Want some light in your life? Draw close and learn wisdoms secrets.

After moving away from home, I noticed that I didnt have what it was that I needed for survival. During my struggles, I realized that it was wisdom that I lacked, and I quickly got some, and by doing so, my life changed.
I focused on right from wrong. I focused on my actions and how it effected others. I wanted only the best for my life, and I knew the only way to get it was to be wise. Wisdom is something no one can live without. I will tell you how to get this product, but first-

Ok here is the improved version of my entry. Hopefully I did it right this time.

Do you find that you take the hard road when it comes to making good judgment? Do you find yourself lacking the skills to survive in todays society? If you answered yes than you lack the ability to use common sense. Common sense, also known as street smarts, is the ability use good judgment to get yourself out of any everyday predicament.
Common sense is very versatile. It is not one of those ideas that you just use once and put in your closet never to use again. Common sense will be like your very own best friend. It stops you from making those poor judgments that just leads you into more trouble. So if you want to wow your friends and your enemies with your uncanny ability to turn any situation into gold go right out and get some common sense. Its the best friend you never had.

This is my entry. Its also my first. Looks like I'm late for submission and voting, but I'm still going to post it.

I've heard it said that "knowledge is Power", or rather "knowledge is King. What good is knowledge, really, if there is no wisdom, or understanding to accompany it. X = wisdom in this equilateral equation. One without the other throws it out of balance. Anyone can learn a library of knowledge, but its all futile, unless wisdom is made manifest in application. Attributes such as humility, reverence, and discernment are all characteristic of wisdom. She is the pathway leading to destiny. Rulers, kings, and emperors have all treaded the same footsteps. It was said in the book of Ecclesiastes, "Wisdom makes one wise man more powerful than ten rulers in a city." I believe that it is better said, "Wisdom is power", or rather "Wisdom is King."
