What's your favorite genre?

My favorite genre is between regular ole' fiction and surreal or apocalyptic fiction. I'm more interested in the struggle between lone man and the world. What about you guys? What does your writing reveal? What's your major theme?

I like to do work with spirits and spirituality a lot. All of my work revolves around spirit interaction and the concept that all religion is a facet of some true divine worship. I guess it's no surprise since I'm a pagan, but I feel it gives me a good angle to work with. I like the sort of stories where people get what they want, but often what they want isn't necessarilly good. People tend to think I'm depressed because of my stories, but truthfully I can't write when I'm depressed. I like stories that don't have the traditional "happy ending, good guys win and everything is back to normal" sort of endings. They're good once in a while, but too many dilutes the happiness of them. I guess if you want an example check out my short story. She gets what she wants, but what she wants isn't necessarilly good for her.

i think sci fi thrillers are great, along with some historical heresies and of course never ending romance. that's what makes me think of a good tale cause it doesnt bore readers and entrigues them deeper into the very last page of the material :D
