Inspiration

Does anyone have any writing tips they'd like to share? Tips that would help someone find inspiration? For example, someone once told me to write in the dark. At first, I thought they were crazy....until I realized how much it inspired me. If I couldn't see anything but the pen and paper, then all the darkness around me is just the scene of the story, or the picture the poem is painting. You should try it sometime!

The dark really helps, it does. And so does music. When I write I always wanna listen to music. Sometimes it will be soft, moody tunes, others lively songs or strong beats and remixes. There are also times where hard-core music makes me wright faster while bobbing my head to the rhythm. I depends, what you're writing and what kind of music you like.
When I get writer's block, I also find extremely helpful to have some chocolate or candy or whatever -the only condition is that it will be of the sweet kind!
If inspiration's what you're looking for, then you shouldn't push yourself too hard. That's the number 1 rule. Just let the ideas come to you, do not make them! Go out, do something fun, earn experiences, and then write down on paper whatever you've come up with so far. Inspiration comes when you least expect it.
As simple as that.

Each person is different.  You have to see, hear, feel, smell, and taste your surroundings for inspiration.  I write in silence.  I can hear myself better that way.

Meditation to me is my greatest inspiration. It helps me to clear my mind so I can hear what I need to hear.

Another way to inspiration is patience. As soon as I rush to do something, my inspiration fades.
