Therapy Through Poetry Forum dancetildeath--i'm new

hi all,

i am new here.

i have been in therapy since i was 14.  i will really write this later on, but i have to go pick up my car in a few minutes. 

i developed an eating disorder (anorexia) when i was 11, depression at 13, began cutting and purging at 13, later on, burning, between 17 and 18 i experimented with alcohol and multiple types of drugs, and at 18 i turned to bulimia. 

i went to inpatient at age between age 16-18 a total of 5 times + a partial program.  then we thought we had found the miracle cure.  a residential treatment center in MA where i stayed for 2 or 2 and a half years, but they didnt treat eating disorders.  so then i went inpatient again, and then to two eating disorder treatment centers. 

i have only been back in the world since may 1st, 2008.  it is hard, but nice.  i am going to college this saturday an hour from home.  i am taking a study skills class, a writing class :) and yoga.  i can't wait! 

writing and art has been so helpful for me through my struggles.
