The Unreviewed Forum I also need a title.
I also need a title.14 Years AgoHello everyone. I have this concept for a book I'm planning to write very soon. I have most of the plot worked out, but I need a title. I haven't had any luck coming up with one so far, so I'll post the basic premise/synopsis (There may or may not be spoilers, for those of you that find the story interesting.) I know you guys have some titles so here it comes:
It's a cold autumn night, a young man by the name of Jack enters a hotel, all appears normal, the hotel is warm and inviting, the receptionist tells him they have only one room vacant. Jack goes up to the room and sleeps well for most of the night. Then a loud crashing noise wakes him up, he goes out into the hall to investigate. There he meets the six other guests. Grace, a bookish young woman with an interest in ghost stories and the supernatural, Gregory, a psychology student, Martin, a young engineer with an interest in firearms, Matthew, an ambitious young man with a wealthy background, Hailey, a young woman dressed entirely in black and is an aspiring writer, and Hyde, a spacey but intelligent young man with a love for horror fiction. Jack learns from the other six guests that strange things has been happening at the hotel. Martin goes to investigate the noise, which sounded like it came from a room on the end of the hall, and comes back saying that there were no signs of anybody breaking in. The next day, Jack discovers that the hotel is now completely empty except for the seven guests and the hotel and they can't leave. Jack separates from the group to investigate the room from last night, he finds nothing, but a stranger calls his cell phone. The stranger introduces himself as "Scratch" and tells Jack that he can help him find a way out of the hotel. As the days pass, the group searches the hotel for ways to escape and clues as to what's going on, the group begins to suspect each other, Scratch's messages to Jack become more demanding and hostile, and the hotel begins to slowly transform into a nightmarish version of itself, hallways getting longer, rooms that weren't there a day before, and a strange man with grey skin starts stalking the group. As the days go by, the guests begin to wonder who is their biggest enemy, the grey man, the hotel, Scratch, or themselves. |
