Observe someone. Write a paragraph about what they are doing or talking about and what they look like. Make it interesting. In other words, don’t just write, "Mark is wearing a blue shirt, black jeans and has on a pair of Nikes." Instead, write, "Mark was sitting on the couch, his hands resting on the stained denim jeans that he’d worn to work that day." If you are observing a stranger, try to imagine what kind of person they are, what they’re doing and what they might do when they get home.
