Conspirators 16 Years Ago She looked warily around the room. As the newcomer, all were looking upon her with untrusting eyes. Their expression was clear. She was not welcome here. Most wore masks, or had veils to cover most of their faces. Only eyes were visible on all but her. She alone had dared to come unmasked. She had meant to ask they wait to judge her after she explain herself, but she knew it would be of no use. They would accept her, or shun her, but they had already decided which. Nothing she did from now on could influence their decission.
