Re: The Ruins

Rood: I make space for Carissa by getting up and grab some food, giving her some. Then I lean back against the tree and pull my cloak well around me. Brisingr would keep the redhead warm, because I had this cloak.

Re: The Ruins

Carissa: I look up at the sky "The stars are great tonight, aren't they?"

Re: The Ruins

Rood: "Well I wouldn't know with which stars to compare them because I usually see tem like this, if I see them at all, but they look great like this."

Re: The Ruins

Carissa: I nod "Ive watched them all my life, but I never get tired of seeing them." I tell him "Adalric used to put me to sleep while telling stories from the constellations. My favorites were the ones about the heros who protected those to weak or afraid to protect themselves. In the end, the heavens would decide to paint a mural of them in the sky after they died. I always thought that sounded so wonderful, to be a picture in the stars, a light in the dark." I smile "Sorry, that must sound silly. Adalric says I don't know when to keep my opinions to myself."

Re: The Ruins

Rood: "Voicing your opinion isn't a bad thing you know, you just need to know when and to whom you can voice your opinion. But that one was harmless so don't worry about it." I smile softly at her before saying: "Well, you should go to sleep." I stretch a bit before taking a deep breath and trying to fall asleep.

Re: The Ruins

Carissa: I walk over to Adalric and curl up Against his warm side "Goodnight Adalric." I say quietly, starting to fall asleep. ADALRIC: "Goodnight, youngling." I say softly. I gently nudge her a little closer and drape a wing over her to create a little tent of sorts. It will keep weather out, and heat within. I close my eyes and try to sleep, even though I know I will be plagued by dreams again.

Kasumi: A soft purr-like growl rumbles through the trees near me as I snooze under Coat'l wing. My eyes snap open and I slowly and carefully extricate myself from under the dragon's appendage, then I walk into the woods with my hand resting lightly against the hilt of one of my katanas. Seeing nothing at first, I continue deeper into the woods, being careful to walk silently. I scan the shadows carefully, then whip out my weapons and charge forward through a tick stand of pine trees with relatively low hanging branches. Dodging to the left, I spin on the balls of the feet, slicing at the shadows with my katanas, but miss my target by scant inches. Grinding my teeth in frustration, I rush the target again, but fail to hit it a second time. My eyes are blazing with rage now, but I stop and, holding the swords up in a defensive way, I beckon the target closer to me with one hand, almost taunting it. The golden tiger pads into the soft moon light, growling softly at me, its eyes narrowed. I smile crookedly, certain I can take the monstrous beast this time. I feint to right and left, then surge forward, landing a punch against the animal's skull, hard.

It growls again, swiping at me with a dinner plate sized paw, but misses. I plant a firm spinning kick to the other side of its head, stunning it for a brief moment, then slash at it with my swords, but it dodges the maneuver and steps inside my attack. It lunges at me, tackling me to the ground and again pinning my arms to my sides, knocking away my weapons with a deft swipe of its massive paw. Its face is only an inch from the tip of my nose, but I glare into its fiery yellow eyes defiantly, almost begging it to finish me off. I kick out hard with my feet, lifting the beast up and over my head, then flip to my feet and race forward as fast as I can. The tiger chases me down, but I race up a tree, back flipping through the air and land behind it, drawing a hidden dagger from my arm brace. Then I throw the dagger at it, but I miss. I spin on my heels and run back towards camp, grabbing my dropped katanas on the way.

Coat'l: "Einasze, wake up! Kasumi is in trouble!" I shake the sleepy girl awake and, after a moment, she blinks her liquid golden eyes open sleepily, then comes fully awake as Kasumi and a massive tiger come charging into the center of the camp as if death itself were chasing them both. Einasze climbs to her feet, drawing her weapons, but dodges a hastily thrown five pointed star. I see her roll her eyes in annoyance.

Einasze: "Kasumi! Are you kidding me?! That thing is huge! You can't take it on by yourself!" I say angrily. "Kas--" I dodge another star thrown my way from her, grinding my teeth. "Oh, fine! But if it eats you, don't blame me!" Then I turn to the others who are about to go to her aid.

"No! She wants this battle to herself! Don't interfere unless she's obviously helpless. I--I think she's got some trick up her sleeve!" I say, stepping in front of my friends to prevent them from going to her aid as the tiger chases her to the other edge of the camp. Then I turn to watch, sickly fascinated by this one-on-one fight.

Re: The Ruins

I apologize but we must put a large pause onthis RP. I had surgery on my right arm and it's in a cast for two weeks and it is difficult typing left handed. Sorry everyone....

Re: The Ruins

Celeste Angelica: I Lay on my back and watch the stars. (I'm back. Just on my phone not laptop)

Re: The Ruins

Rood: I get up, unable to fall asleep. After giving a signal to Brisingr that I'll be gone for a bit I walk away from the tree, away from the group and stand in a clearing. I had too much backed up energy so that I couldn't sleep. I stood in the middle of the clearing, and released a wave of magic. Then a thought came to me: "Shoot, they might've felt that..." (Welcome back :D)

Re: The Ruins

Carissa: I wake up, breathing hard. My dream had suddenly taken a turn for the worse. The woods around us were in flames, and others in our group were already burning to death, including Adalric. I put a hand on him, relaxing only when I feel him breathing.

Re: The Ruins

Celeste Angelica: I sit up and look around. What was that? A weird wave of magical power...

Re: The Ruins

Rood: I take a deep breath, before returning to camp. The wave of magic had brought my energy supplies down considerably and now I could sleep without randomly casting magic in my sleep.

Re: The Ruins

Carissa: I crawl out from under Adalric's wing, needing to walk for a bit.

Re: The Ruins

Adrian: I didn't need this. I was perfectly content in my meditation, but now it seems that there's a fire around the camp. I begin a chant and clouds begin to gather. A light rain begins to fall extinguishing the flames. "Strygius, keep an eye on the area."

Re: The Ruins

Celeste Angelica: I close my eyes and when I open them again the sun has begun to rise. I stand up and send a lightning bolt into the sky. " Rise and shine!"

Re: The Ruins

Adrian: I break my meditation at the sound of thunder. " That's new.... Didn't think you could control lighting."
