Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoRood: I run over and dry Celeste by taking the excess moisture off her clothes and saying: "I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!"

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoCarissa: I smile and dive in the lake, excited
Adalric: I watch her sadly, knowing what's ahead for her.

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoKasumi: As the others have their fun in the lake or on its shores, I pull out a flint and steel and get the fire going. Once it begins to burn brightly and the warmth seeps into my body, I stand and walk into the surrounding forests. I examine the ground carefully, picking out the small traces of animal life and move off, away from my friends. I track the large buck to a small meadow and crouch down amongst the weeds and ferns to remain hidden. I watch the buck for a time, studying it and the surrounding area very carefully. It starts to move off away from me, looking for more food to eat, which is when I come out of hiding and track it through the meadow. We enter the other side of the forest and I easily take it down, killing it quickly to prevent the animal from suffering. Then I kneel next to the buck and close my eyes, sending a prayer to the Gods, thanking them for the animal's life. I tie up the buck's legs and begin hauling the heavy animal back to the camp. As I'm dragging it along, a movement in the shadows catches my eye. I stop, laying a hand on the hilt of one of my katana, ready to act if needed. Nothing happens, so I continue on the way back to the camp. A few moments later, I can hear my friends laughing and generally having a good time in and around the lake, though I cannot yet see them as the tree cover is still too thick.

Re: The Ruins10 Years Ago(I said my computer is broken. I can't rp. My phone doesn't work well with trying to)

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoCeleste Angelica: We sit on a rock by the lake and look at the reflection of the moon. It was a new moon tonight.
|
|
Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoRood: "This is pretty cool, I don't usually get to enjoy this stuff considering that I usual work in a forest," I comment simply. (Is your computer fixed or how are you rping?

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoCarissa: I get out of the lake and use a trick Adalric taught me to dry off before starting to explore. I find some wild blackberries and grin, concentrating, happy when they grow bigger and juicier. I pick a lot of them, using a bunched up bit of my skirt to carry them, even though I know Adalric will gripe about how ladies never hike up their skirts.

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoCeleste Angelica: I close my eyes and feel the wind blowing through my hair. (Using my phone but it's difficult)

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoAdrian: " Ah a new moon. Perfect." I say taking a seat at the waters edge as Strygius gets out of my shadow and manifests with the help of the night's darkness. He stretches then looks for his next meal. I begin my routine of reciting mantras and meditation until dinner.

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoCarissa: I come back, listening as Adalric instructs me on how a young lady should act. I set the blackberries down and just grin at him "So no dancing around with nymphs?" I ask and he huffs "Especially no dancing around like a heathen." I laugh "Aw, lighten up Adalric!"

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoCeleste Angelica:" I turn to the Riders. We will rest Here for the night. Be ready at Dawn."

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoRood: I stop and walk to a nearby tree, leaning against it and looking at the sky. The sky was pretty, but the travel was boring.
|
|
Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoCeleste Angelica: I tie my hair up into a pony tail. " This journey has only begun. Do not think it will always be so easy."
|
|
Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoAdrian: She was right, things would get much more difficult before they got easier. I take a seat on a boulder and rest. I figure I might as well do something to pass the time and begin to meditate.

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoCeleste Angelica: I cast a barrier around the camp and light a fire.

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoCarissa: I lean against the tree next to Rood "Mind if I join you?"

Re: The Ruins10 Years AgoOriginally posted by Lodon Kasumi: As the others have their fun in the lake or on its shores, I pull out a flint and steel and get the fire going. (Uh, Celeste, looks like we have two fires now! LOL) Kasumi: I bring the body of the deer to the edge of the camp, then Einasze and I work together to prepare the meat and skin the animal. I take the skin into the woods and finish getting it ready to be tanned and turned into leather, while the bones of the animal I clean as thoroughly as I can, with Einasze's help, and dry them near the fire. I'll make tools and other objects from them later. The meat of the deer, Einasze and I place over the fire to cook it, but whatever amount we're unable to eat that night, I smoke to preserve it. This I wrap in cloth and store in Coat'l Attor's riding bags so that we'll have something to eat later, if we need it. Einasze: Once the deer is prepared and we've passed out the cooked meat to the rest of our friends, Kasumi and I walk together into the woods, just out of sight. She draws both of her katanas and I take out my own weapons. I nod, signalling that I am ready to begin. She waits, silent as usual, watching me carefully. Then I suddenly rush her, swinging hard with my great sword towards her neck as I do the same with my axe, towards her midriff. She easily parries the attacks, landing a hard kick to my sternum, but I ignore the fiery pain. I circle to the left, throwing out a vicious kick and grin as it connects with her stomach. Spinning on the ball of my foot, I bring the heel of my other foot down hard against her temple, knocking her to the ground. The training goes well into the night, each other unwilling to give the other even an inch of ground nor mercy. By the time we're ready to sleep, we are both bruised and slightly bloodied, but grinning like cats that just ate the goldfish. Kasumi and I sleep for the remainder of the night next to Coat'l, tucked comfortably under one wing. |
