The one about second chances is actually (ironically) referring to Manipulator

SPEAKING OF

I was thinking there's a battle and M takes control of Dl, forcing him to use illusion powers but no one knows it, and it comes down to Dn stabbing M, but M is disguised as Dl so they think Dn is stabbing Dl (Jay freaks) then the illusion disappears because being stabbed shatters M's concentration and Dl's like "How did you know it wasn't me?" and Dn's like "I didn't." Then M says something about not thinking Dn would have the guts to stab him.

But that's not set in stone of course, just an idea.

M - "You care too much. It makes you weak."

Dn - "Caring too much is what makes me strong. Because now I have something - someone - to protect."

M - "I cared once. Twice. It got me nowhere."

Dn - "Twice?"

M - "You know what I'm talking about."

Dn - "If you cared so much, why were you the one to light the match?"

M - "I was trying to burn you, not her!"

Dl - "What are you talking about?"

Dn - "The fire that killed your mother? Not an accident. He started that fire."

Dl - "W-what? You-- you monster!"

M - "We're all monsters. Some of us just hide it better."

Dn - "Don't group me in with you, [censored]."
