The world is your oyster!

This thread is going to be all about your experiences from all over the world(if you haven't ever left the country, holidays are fine too) and share your experiences with everyone. Surrealism is often inspired by current things, so by learning from others we improve our work too.

Hmm, where to begin...
Lately I've been exploring more of my own state (California).
Point Lobos in Carmel is a magical place... turquoise water, white sand, coves, diverse trees, otters... it might be the most peaceful place I've been to so far. This place gave me a deeper sense of wanderlust and appreciation for our delicately balanced ecosystems.

Yosemite is also amazing as well. It always gives you some perspective when you look up at El Capitan and Half Dome. Though it's a beautiful place, I always feel a deep sense of dread and fear when I'm there, knowing how powerful nature is; I feel kind of out of my element, since, even though everything is connected, modern humans don't have as personal of a relationship with nature as they once did, and sometimes it feels so distant like a long lost friend. Thoughts like those put me in a surreal place.

The world is fascinating. :)

Well, I have been around quiet a lot. I lived in Australia and in Israel. I traveled to Thailand, Fiji, Morton Island, Fraser Island, Greece, Paris. My family loves traveling and so do I and that's why we travel a lot. I think that seeing more than just my little bubble of life is an important thing for a writer and actually for everyone.
