New Movies and Inspirations

I've recently been getting into some great horror stories and movies and I thought it would be fun to here what you guys think.

So what are the best stories you've read, movies you've seen, or twists that you've read that really changed your opinion about the way you view things or has made you absolutely afraid of something?

Example- For me, it was watching the movie "The Descent" by Neil Marshall. I've always been a huge fan of his work ever since he did Dog Soldiers, but when I seen The Descent I was absolutely terrified to go in a cave ever again. I'm serious. I'm an avid Cavediver and me and my friends go every summer, but due to that movie I'm completely terrified to ever go into another cave.

I feel embarrassed to admit this but one movie that gives me chills would have to be White Noise. The movie itself isn’t scary, but the idea behind it is.

You’re sitting now at your computer probably alone in your room. But, are you really alone, are we really ever alone? That is the question that this movie evokes in me, and I have to say I find it a little unsettling.

Because if we’re not alone then what co-exist with us ? Are they spirits/ghost of the dead or something more, something we’ve never considered ? And  should we even be bothering it, whatever “it” may be ?

Yeah. That is a very unsettling feeling and White Noise was a pretty crazy movie. The voices that they played throughout the movie is what really got me. Sent chills through my spine.

For me, it has to be, now don't laugh, but The Candyman.  They have this scene in one of the movies where a woman is in the toilets and she gets killed, I think it was by bees, but not sure.  Anyway, we have these toilets in our ton that look just like the ones in the movies, and I have to say, if I am on my own I would rather wet myself than go into those toilets.

Also, another laughable one I know, since it isn't a horror movie, but The Matrix scared the life out of me.  I suffer from Disossication Disorder, and boy, that film just made the unreal feel of life even worse, cause I was like, wow, what if that is true?  What if we all are just in a computer programme?  Laughable and stupid, I know.
