My heart is shoutingI love youBut my head objectsSays it’s too soon So I step outsideAnd whisper it to the moon Head says it’s too earlyAll in good timeGive her spaceGive her roomSo I here insteadWhispering to the moon Temper enthusiasmWith patienceHead says to heartWrite a little tuneGo outside andSing it to the moon I have these silly rules The stupid gamesWe have to playWhat a cartoon I must appear to beSinging to the moon But my heart it yearnsFor a word, a touchEmotions ready to burstTaught like a full balloonThe only release of pressureAre whispers to the moon And so I waitIn patient agonyThe the time to comeI hope it comes soonI’ll be showing you this insteadOf whispering it to the moon |
