Vant: I stood up and kneeled down next to her bed, my arms resting on the covers. "Its not nothing if you feel that strongly towards it."

Kaida: I look at his eyes but don't say anything.

Vant: Kaida was pretty. I'm sure her mate was very happy with her.

Kaida: I wondered if Vant had another female back home. He was very handsome and I'm sure he did.

Vant: "Please tell me why." I whispered.

Sen: I was heading down the hall and pass their hotel room, pause just so long to hear Vant and Kaida talking things over. *He's more like a Casanova,* I say to myself with a sigh and continue on with Shasha at my side.

Kaida: " because I think I..." I say the rest so quietly I didn't know if he heard me.

Vant: My ears twitched as they tried to pick up what she had said. "What?"

Kaida: Isn't he a wolf? Shouldn't he be able to hear a pin dropping? " I said... I-I like... you..."

Vant: I had heard her, but it just didn't quite make sense to me. "I like you too, Kaida. We are friends, right? An Alpha never abandons a pack member." I said with a reassuring smile.

Kaida: I glared at him. IDIOT! I thought. NOT LIKE AS FRIENDS! " I didn't mean as a pack..."

Vant: I frowned sadly at her glare and words. "You don't want to be pack-mates?"

Kaida: I sat up angrily. " I MEANT i LIKE YOU!"

Vant: "So you do want to be pack-mates?" She was very confusing.

Kaida: " Huh? No, I mean I like you like THAT dummy! Like the way I thought you did with Sen!

Vant: The way she thought I was with Sen...Oh...Oh! "You mean...mates?" I said quietly, blushing a little bit.

Kaida: I cross my arms and turn away. "Finally you get it."

Vant: She liked me...like a wolf likes their mate? "...but I'm a wolf." Weren't dragons very traditional creatures?

Kaida: " I don't follow what my father wants. So I am not traditional."

Vant: "Why me though? Why deviate from tradition?"
