Role Play Forum The Great Elven Division
Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoAs we enter the tent the goblins and orcs remove their weapons and place them in a corner of the tent, each kind haveing their own sectin. I feel their eyes on me as I remove my weapons and place them between theirs and a bit behind, completely out of reach. We go to the center of the tent and they all sit in a circle. "Step into the center, where we may all see and judge you and your message." Says the same one as before. I do as I'm told and begin to speak "I have come to tell you that you have been lied to." I say simply "I know how your Jumbe really died, and he wasn't murdered. He died honorably in battle after attacking the prince of that city." I tell them. "How do we know you tell the truth?" They ask "Because, you can test me." They look to each other and their spokesperson stands. "Bring me your knife." I nod and go over to my weapons, grab one of my daggers, and go back to him. "Here you are." I hold out my arm "Test me." I tell him levelly.

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoDachian: "Mind your position." I advised Grilin, "My mem obey my command. And those orcs and goblins shall soon return. Have you ever been to an orc fort? How about a goblin Sewer? I have, and I've seen how they treat peace makers. Archers, we stay and await."
Hadridd: A woman entered the camp, and my meen stood beside her. "State your business, outsider!" I commanded, as I unsheathed my sword. She must be crazy, why should us goblins and orcs waste time speaking with minor ponds rather than a major political figure? "We have little time for, interuptions." |
|
Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoI look to him "Well, I came to tell you that someone up top is lying to you." I look pointedly at my knife in the goblin's hand "I was about to be tested for lying myself." I smile at the goblin who held it "May I?" he nods and I take my knife from him, then hold it out, hilt-first, to the one I spoke to now. "If you wish, I could recount my message and you could test me yourself." I tell him, looking him in the eyes "I personally count lying as a horrible crime, but I also knew that all of your race I have met thus far regarded it as I do. I thought you would want to know how your Jumbe really died. I will go ahead and tell you it wasn't murder, if you want, I can tell you the rest of what I know." I hold my gaze, unafraid of him despite the fact he towered over me.

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoGilrin: I place myself in from of Dachian, "I know you wish to see battle in this," I say softly, "But a good leader would not see blood were peace could be made. Dachian, if you seek war when it is not needed you will not last long as a king... Wisdom must guide you; not rage and bloodlust." I hold his gaze, "The stars do not want us to fight this day. We must listen of something horrible will befall those who foolishly rushed into battle." If he could not see reason then he truly would be a good king. I had spent time in the Orc kingdom when I was very small. I knew that peace could be made if both sides were not stubborn and the truth was being told.

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoFëa- "So you had no others of our kind with you?" I ask disappointed.------Berendir- I was watching Lady Gilrin and Dachian squabble some when I felt a hand tap me on the shoulder. I turn. "Lady Caliliel. What is it?"----Caliliel- "What's going on? Why did they retreat so quickly?"----Berendir- "That stubborn girl from earlier, Rose I believe is her name, went to talk with the orcs and goblins. Who knows if its working or not."

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoDachian: "I lust not for bloodshed." I replied, "Nor for battle. I just need to be thorough, and trusting an enemy's ally is trusting another enemy... And they're the enemy for a reason, Grilin. Maybe there will be peace between us for a day, but if we leave, and that woman's speechcraft doesn't awaken their hearts innocent people die."
Hadridd: "Words can do more damage than a sword." I replied, keeping weary of this strange woman, "Which is why we shall investagate the lies you told me of. But tell me why I should tell my men to retreat? Lord Dachian is an ally's enemy and that's as good as an enemy." |
|
Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years Ago"Because," I tell him "the ones who told you those lies are your so-called allies." I point out "Think about it, what good does it do for you to lose men for no reason other than to satisfy another's lust for power and blood?" I ask "What makes your heart hard enough that you would kill innocent women and children," I hit on their love and joy that comes with family, children in particular "for some man's selfish cause?" I look around, addressing them all "If you have decided to live with that as your legacy, you don't deserve the title of a warrior." I continue ruthlessly "You only deserve the title of power hungry killers." I clench my fists and glare at each that would meet my gaze, unafraid of how they would react. I would not be intimidated by them. "That," I tell them "is the truth."

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoGilrin: "Then let there be peace for a day." I say sourly, "Let those that may die in todays battle spend that day with the ones whom cherish them." I motion to his people, "not all will survive this battle. Let them at least prepare themselves, set things in order. Cherish the day that may be their last."

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoTaoshira-"Yes,i did but the many wars that raged the lands drove them away and the ones that stayed were killed or hunted for sport."The thought makes me sick.

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoDachian: "Because they'll be back today. These men will cherish glory in battle, and the realm of Beatitudine del Guerriero. Those men you speek for you, they joined this militia knowing they could die any day." I informed, "Those orcs, and goblins will kill first, then ask questions. I've seen the ugly scum they shame the race "orc", and they all were apart of the Orcish Empires. Same for the goblins, they recruit ruthless killers becausse they have expirence."
Haddrid: "And you expect us to trust you?" I bursted laughing, "Send her to the dungeon, she'll serve useful, and honorable if she's telling the truth... but we can't take chances." I turned, and sent my courier to tell my soldiers to continue the battle. |

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoGilrin: "At what price do you want to rule this kingdom?" I ask softly, "Do you really want to start you rein with blood? Is this the attitude you send your people to the their deaths with?" I really didn't expect him to say anything because I knew that whatever he said would just drive me from accepting him as king, "As ruler the people most come first. Those you may thing your men are warriors they are not. A forest elf child could hold a sword with more skill. You send them to the slatter house and you don't even bat an eye." I shake my head as I turn, "Long live the king." I mutter sarcastically afterward and disappear inside the castle. I had no intention of staying anywhere close to him anymore. I had thought him a good king, how he had defended his camp with soldiers of great skill. But this. These soldiers have barely begun their training and he bring them against the O&G without even considering a peace treaty until his men were ready?

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years Ago"I shall not let you keep underminding my authority!" I shouted, in rage. I turned, and the orcs and goblins were marching. She had to leave just as I had been proven right. Orcs, nor goblins ever stopped murdering, killing, dieing, truly living as a fasle prophet of their very foundation of honor...war. Soon enough I was running with my swordsmen to meet the enemy's steel. Sparks were flying, blood was splashing here, and there. Screams shattered the air, dead bodies started to cover the floor, and the heat of war was only getting warmer.
Kynith: I received word, and so I rushed to serve Lord Dachian's aid. Bogoin the cruel: "All was going according to plan!" I thought, watching it all from my fort, "Dachian doesn't trust anyone, and those goblins and orcs beleived every word. And father said I never understood strategy." I laughed loudly, and it echoed it as maddening as the original. Soon, Dachian shall fall, and I shall rise |

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoGilrin: I was half way back to my rooms when I pause. I could hear battle. I wasn't pleased about it but I could hear it. "What right do I have?" I whispered to myself, "I am Gilrin, Lady of the Forest. I am known for wisdom, for the hunt, and for my bow." I venture to a window. I hated the way this war was being fought but how could I just leave elves out there to die when I could have prevented their death? I sigh... "oh. Bloody Hell." I snap using a language I didn't usually use, "He's never going to let me live this down." I spin on my heels, ready my bow, and throw myself into the battle like a foolish youngster. I would most likely pay for this decision but I couldn't leave them to fight on their own.

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoI glare at the ones sent to capture me "Well, looks like I know what you are, then." I kick, hit, and twirl out of their reach. I grab my weapons and place them back on my person as I evade them, but don't use them. "I came, giveing you my trust and holding no weapons against you." I yell "And I'm leaveing that way!" I have them all out in a moment and walk out easily. The goblin in charge still had one of my daggers, but hey, let him keep something to remember the shame of his so-called warriors after they were defeated by a single girl. I walk out and look where the battle was. "It's not my fight." I wisper "Besides, I said I wouldn't raise a weapon against them, I keep my word."

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoKynith: Why were battles breaking out so rappidly? In the days of old, battles were as common as rain... now it seems battles are how politicians settle disputes. Maybe my tounge can cutt deeper than my sword. I turned my horse around, and head to Bogion the cruel's castle. It's supposed to be a secerate, but it's obvious, he must be holding up in "The Castle of Horrors", though he might have touchen it up a bit. But much rides upon this meeting, this enteration. I was ready, my hand on my hilt, archers might be setup in an ambush for any intruders, though it seems more like him to expect an intruder's challenge. I arrived to the draw-bridge, it was down. "Of course, the castle of horrors has to be creepy." I sighed.
Bogion: I stood in the center of my throne room, and smirked. "Kynith." I noticed, nodding, "Seems Dachian's sticking to tradition."
Kynith: "I hear you hired the G&O." I informed, "Seems you adopted their voilent and ruthless mannors... And their looks." Orcs and goblins were attracted to skill in battle instead of apperance, so over time they've grown to be rather ugly.
Bogion: I growled underneath my breath. "Childish for such an honorable knight, the king's sacred protecter." I shook my head, "So what's the meaning of your rudely timed apperance?"
Kynith: "Your forfit." I answered, "No one bests me, nor my army. Surrender, and stand down Bogion."
Bogion: "I'll stand down" I replied, taking a breath, "BUT THERE SHALL BE FIGHTING! WHEATHER IT IS ME, IT DOES NOT MATTER!" My guard unit came pouring in, and I sat on my throne.
Kynith: "Bogion the cruel can't fight me himself." I commented, "More like Bogion the cruel." I pulled my sword from it's seeth, and readied myself. Bogion thrives upon war, well, as far as Hulion's word, though it's been right so far.
Bogion: "FIGHT!!!!" I shouted, and sat in my throne.
Kynith: After a long hour, I had cleared all of Bogion's guards. "Bogion, I asked nicely." I sighed as I made my way to his throne, "But now blood has been spilt, and force is a neccessity, I'm taking you prisoner."
Bogion: "I'd like to see you try." I growled.
Kynith: "I wasn't asking, Bogion." I replied.
Bogion: I drew my axe, and Kynith immidetly drew his sword. We dueled, and great was his skill, and I take honor in admiting we were at a stale mate.
Kynith: We were interupted by a storm, the wind feircly blew sand into the castle, still left open, and the sand covered us both. He escaped, and sure enough I took my oppritunity to investage when it all died dowm. Any clues leading me to Bogion's new location was important.

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoI duck down and cover my eyes as a sandstorm suddenly blows around me. I get up after it's over, sand falling from me. "What was that?" I ask, brushing off my clothes. "It's not the right season for storms." I see a figure comeing twards me and put a hand on my sword.

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoGilrin: I cast my bow and sword aside when he fighting was done and look around at the death. Dropping to my knees Mereth en draugrim (feast of wolves -slain enemy)," I whisper and begin the long pray that asked the gods and goddesses to accept these souls into their welcoming hands. When I was done I stand and look around. Spot Dachian and head over, "Is this what you wanted?" I ask spreading my arms out at all of the dead, "You are no better then the brother you bicker with." I sigh as I look down at my own hands then turn away, "My own hands are painted with blood so it is wrong for me to lecture you."

Re: The Great Elven Division11 Years AgoFëa- "A shame! A horrible tragedy! To think some people could kill off our kind like that. Around this time of the year we would be flying high in the sky, those who had no mates were dancing the mate dances and we would all be happy." I sigh remembering how I saw it when I was young.----Caleliel- Berendir had sent me back to the inside of the castle but I still watched from the terrace. Oh how I wanted to fight!-----Berendir- I killed my last Orc and then spotted Lady Gilrin. "My Lady!" I say running over. "Are you alright?"
