Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years Ago"Thanks." I say gratefully "I think that's the first time I've been terrified of anything since, well, as long as I can remember." I think about it and smile "So that's what those boys felt like when I gave them the look, must be doing something right."

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years Ago"I hope you aren't offended or anything." I say suddenly "About the turning down your offer to join your huntresses, I mean." I explain "It's just, well, I hate the idea of liveing forever."
|
|
Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoArtemis- "Well..." I say thinking it over a bit. "Maybe I could make an exception on that for you." I look at her. "It's rare nowadays to find women who are like you. Most of them stay in their homes all their lives, serving their husbands. It's the independent and strong women that make it into my huntresses, and you show much potential for that. So if immortality is the only thing stopping you from joining, then I'll let that slide. If you would like." I say to her.

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoI smile "Thanks, but no thanks. Think about how it'd end up: I'd grow to old for hunting, the other girls would feel like I needed to be out, problems might pop up...I'd rather not have that happen. Besides, it's just, well, not something I see myself as doing and enjoying for the rest of my life." I shrug "I'm a theif, a liar, and a fighter, not a hunter. Not to mention I'm a loner, so being with others all the time, well, I wouldn't fit in."

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoArtemis- I smile at her. "I completely understand." I say. "But I'll be keeping an eye on you young Antheia." I say. "And if you ever need anything, just ask for me." I then turn and leave.

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years Agostashia-I walk over to Antheia."did she ask you to join her huntresses."I ask.

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoI nod "For the second time, and for the second time, I refused."

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoStashia-"well,you're not the first."I say,"i turned down her offer too."

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoI nod, then turn twards the director's house. "I'm going to see if the god of the drunks doesn't mind if I take a trip to a city nearby and take a shopping trip." I look down at my clothes "I'm really getting sick of camo." I look back at the camp's edge "Then again, what he doesn't know won't hurt him, right?"

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoI smile "Well, I've a bit of my stash with me, between us we'll have ourselves a good old shopping spree." I glance down at my clothes again "Um, do you think anyone would have an extra pair of jeans and a t-shirt I could borrow? I don't think any store would want me comeing in dressed like this, I'd probobly scare the customers away." I joke.

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years Agostashia-"we wear the same size,so i think you can borrow some of mine ,come on."I say as we walk twards the hermes cabin.

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years Ago"Thank goodness, I did not want to have to ask the Aphrodite kids, they'd have put me in some short little dress with five-foot heels, and, quite frankly, I can hardly walk in half-inch heels." I head inside and quickly scan my stuff *All there, good.* I sling my bag onto the ground and move over to my pack. I reach in and search around until I find a long metal puzzle box. I twist and turn it in my hands, slideing panels with practiced ease until I hear a quiet "Click!" I smile and tip the box slightly, a slightly smaller metal box with a small lock slides into my hand. I face the corner and produce a key, which I then insert into the lock and turn. It turns smoothly with a soft "Shick." and I lift the top. Inside was hardly a fraction of my stash. I pull out a couple of hundreds and fifties, a handful of twenties and thirties, and a good many ones and fives. I close and lock the box, slide it back into the other, reset the puzzle box, and hide away the key on my person again. I put the box back in my pack, put the money into a ziplock, stick it in my bag, and stand "Ready when you are, Stashia." I call, we were across the cabin from each other.

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoStashia-After i got out a fraction of a god's year worth of offerings.iturned to anthia and say "ready lets go."

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoI head to the bath house and change into the clothes Stashia had lent me. The jeans were a bit large in the waist, but all jeans were on me. The t-shirt, though a little clingy, was a nice change after the uniform. I splash some water on my face to get off some of the dirt, stick my hair in a ponytail, grab my bag, and meet Stashia outside. "Okay, now I'm really ready, let's go!"

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoStashia-"stay here,"i tell Europia,"it would be best if a giant bear didn't scare off the merchants."Antheia and i start twards the market.

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoI look down at Arsen "You to, besides, you don't want to go clothes shopping, do you?" Arsen c***s his head to the side and trots off, though a bit reluctantly. After we get to the market I turn to Stashia and steer her away from a booth she was looking at "Everything there's a rip off, and the owner, he's a low-life and a thief, watch your things, there's pick-pockets everywhere." I grab the hand of a young man who had tried to reach into my bag. I see the panic on his face and c**k an eyebrow, then show him a small tattoo on my wrist "Never steal from a thief." I wisper "Be a bit more careful next time, alright? To many of you in jail already." He just nods, open-mouthed. I let go and he just stands there, stareing at me in shock. "Well, go on." I tell him with a shooing motion. He shakes his head as if to clear it and disappears into the crowd.

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoStashia-"i see you're trained in the thieving department."I comment to theia.

Re: Mt.Olympus11 Years AgoI look down and rub my wrist where the tattoo is "Um, yeah, I guess you could say that." I murmur, then pull her into a store, hoping to change the subject. "This looks promising." I pick a shirt off the rack and hold it up "What do you think?"
