Should poetry rhyme?17 Years AgoShould poetry rhyme? Are there any rules to writing good poetry or inventive prose? This is the question before the court and I want your views.

[no subject]17 Years AgoWeeeell poetry can rhyme, then again it doesn't have to. Thats the beauty of it. If a piece flows with out rhyme then its all good heh. I think that rhyming only really needs to happen if it adds something to the piece if you start rhyming for the sake of it, then the writing becomes forced and one doesn't want that now. ^__^

[no subject]17 Years AgoRhyming just happens to be my style how I write... I don't write as good poetry that I can be happy with without the rhymes that is how I see it... But this does not mean that every poet should rhyme... Some poets express themselves better with freedom from the rhymes demands on structure and meter and all that... so just because one poet feels they themselves HAVE to rhyme does not mean that POETRY iteself has to rhyme... That depends on the poet, the circumstance, and the feelings and structure behind the poem being written...

Re: Should poetry rhyme?11 Years AgoWell, I do believe that it all depends to the writer and the view of the reader. Though, for me... A Rhyming Poem is nicer to read... It flows in a well manner. That's all
