Well, I had an official count of just under 12,000, but I wrote another chapter during November that I didn't get typed up until now.  That makes my count just over 15,000.  I also wrote another three chapters during the first weekend of December, so guessing those are roughly 2,000 each, that puts me around 21,000.  I'll get those typed up soon.

This was my 6th year in NaNo, and my 2nd not finishing due to the loss of a loved one.

I was close though. I had more than 48, 000 words, only 1395 to go... but I fell asleep in front of my PC with only 2 hours left.

I'll still finish the draft. Worst thing a writer can do is not to finish what we started.
