Dawn's wacky goals for 200817 Years AgoOkay Here's my goals for 2008 (yes as usual lengthy and I probably wont get most of it done but its a shot right)
Novels: 1. DC: Finish revisions by February (sooner if i keep working the way that i am) and hopefully start outlining and sketching out the second book in the series. (there will only be 2 books i hope) 2. AMS: i would like to see this completely revised and ready by March. Havent started on it yet, but as soon as hubby fills my ink, or buys me a new one, then i can print out a copy of it, or the critiques and get started on it. 3. Jaded Steele: Finish first draft by February of 08 as well, getting it ready for first round or two of revisions. 4. The Diary: go back through and rewrite the first draft. I've decided to take this another way, so i need to rewrite what i have, its only about 3 chapters though. 5. A Thirst for blood: book one: get this outlined and ready for first drafting. There are three books in the series so i want to get this book done by the end of 2008/beginning of 2009 6. Deadly Secrets: print out any notes pretaining to this piece and go from there. I want to turn this into an actual novel now because i think it will work better than as a novella, and definite better than it did as a short story. I think that was just my way to outline it. LOL. I want to have this completed first draft wise by the summer of 08 or at least by January of 09 which ever comes first. 7. Obsession: Need to go through any notes and whatever copies of the several starts to the story i have and see where i want to go with it. Would like to start the actual real first rough draft of this by October of 09. NO SET COMPLETION DATE ON DRAFT AT THE MOMENT! I think that's it for this next year on what i would like to accomplish Novel wise. Short stories and Poems: 1. SuperMarket Horror: I will have it completely revised and sent out to my first publisher JSP, then hopefully by the second week in January, i can send it to Sharon for publication with her mag. Then this one will be completed. 2. Stalker at the Pier: I want to finish revising by the end of January, and start subbing out beginning of February. 3. Revise and submit: Prey, The Haunting of 312 Park street, Whispering Death, along with other shorts already written and ready for revision process. 4. Write at least 40 new pieces (okay a long shot, but its something to shoot for either way), revise and submit. 5. try to write at least 2 poems a week, revise and submit. For poems already written, Type up, revise, and submit. Thats about it for next year's goals. I'm hoping that i can meet all my goals, but i wont be upset if i dont as long as im working on each as much as i can as hard as i can. And this is just a tentative list. this could change at any point next year. |
