I love this time of year! I love winter and snow! It inspires me to write!

Although, I miss being a kid because we used to have these huge family parties and we don't anymore. ;( Mostly because everyone has either died or moved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My holidays as a kid were awesome. I miss those days.....but I still love this time of year!

The lights bouncing off the snow and the way it sparkles....the silence after a heavy snowfall..it's not eerie though, its peaceful and calming. Anyone who lives in the midwest knows what Im talking about!  ;0)

I was more interested in snow ball fights. The only way for revenge without lifting a finger against them.

SNOW! That's a four letter word here (meaning curse). Ehem - I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan and no one here likes snow? I DO! I can't wait for the snow and holidays. We got some snow this morning - enough for the girls to gather it all up and make two lovely (but muddy) snowmen in the front yard. :-)

And snowball fights rule!

I'm from upstate New York, we get +180 inches of snow every year. Suffice it to say, I don't look forward to snow as much as many other people might.

But I do like the holidays, mainly because I get a break from school. Not a big break -- about three weeks total between thanksgiving and *ahem* holidays *ahem*. But a break nonetheless. Helps keep me sane.
