Time Vacuum

A person invents a magic vacuum and sucks time away.

Ok, not exactly. And a weird idea.

Recently, I am working on a news project, required by my Sociology class.
So far... its a PAIN IN THE A*S!

This is what this project is about:

1. You have to immerse yourself in the media for one week, and keep account of topics covered in the media.

2. You need four sources.
3. The sources cannot come from cable.
4. 3, 15, 27, 47, PBS and BBC are accepted
5. International news is fine. needs to be checked w/ professor first
6. Newpapers are fine.

Right now, I am already beginning to see a few things on this news project:
"A special vacuum sucked up all my time for my other classes!"
other than that, I have no access to any of the no.4

So mostly I have to get my sources from all READING!!!!!
I have to read the entire newspaper. I get by on this part for one reason:
"If I find anything on sports, it ain't news and is worthy of sifting."

Besides this, I still have a chapter to take notes on for my history and soc classes.
I should have mentioned that I do not have "Energy Drinks" either. I cannot pull "all-nighters".
which reminds me, I got an exam in the morning. Not worried. I had worse.
"I was nearly stapled to death in my dream" that's nice.

Personally I would cheat and check out all sources on the net.  Simply because it would save money, and you can just read the bits you want.  You can get newspaper reports and TV news programmes on there nowadays.  I know cause I read the local newspaper on there every week, since money is tight and being on a budget doesn't always leave enough money to buy magazines and newspaper.  I know, being poor sucks, but I got the net to make up for it.  *BIG GRIN*

I feel for ya! Reading the paper is BORING. I love to read magazines...books...but the newspaper?

The only problem with cheating is I bet you have to put down your source for the info you use, right?

Hang in there....do you have access to a pop machine? Pepsi? Mt Dew? Great source of caffeine!  ;)

On top of this, I have to write a three page paper on it!

I don't even know if I will have enough material to point out bias and such.
The professor said to record your bodily reactions. About that one, you see... I am "DETACHED", I don't think writing down boredom would be a good idea. I don't think the professor would understand me then.

something new...

I feel something new is coming on the way. Its a short story, but I won't say what about.

"Right now, I need a little more information on the category. Share your knowledge. Provide examples if you can."

-anyway, that'll be sweet. "I am still having a problem with the 'think small' idea"

Hey, if you're bored, you should write it. It's a true and honest bodily reaction. Why should you have to fake a more p.c. reaction if you don't have one. Maybe the paper should be on WHY it all bores you, or why you don't keep up with it all.  ;)

I understand about not wanting to share new story ideas right away. Sometimes if I hae something brewing in my scattered brain, I want to keep it there until I put it down in print, otherwise, I might never do it.
