Here There Be Monsters Forum Creatures and Names.

So I like to name a new kind of creature when I write; maybe its my desire to be original, maybe its laziness. How do you normally name your creatures, or do you use pre-invented ones? 

I do a lot of creature-creating in my writings, though to be honest I'm not sure exactly how I choose to name them- the names just kinda come to me. Sometimes they sound ridiculous, but I have a creature in one of my stories called a Venksji (venk-shee) that I liked the name enough to stick with it. lol
 I think calling your creatures "yaced" is actually a really cool idea though- it's really neat to come up with a way to connect words to creatures like that. :)
