Free To Be Poet Critic; theory of poetry

very strictly controlled forum for critiquing other writers. the rule is that you have to post a concept-picture of what you expect writing or poetry to be, then show how the author does or doesn't succeed according to your own definition.

personal attacks of the sort, "he doesn't live up to his intentions..." are fine, but attacks on the author's non-literary reality are not allowed -- no, "He's a retard", for instance. only group members can post, and that's so that we might develop a culture in the group -- a history of shared thoughts in writing, to help build the dialog of "what is a writer, what is a piece of writing?" -- to allow understanding of each other as intellectuals and critics, unique personalities.
