Fantasy Short Stories Forum Are your fantasy stories origi..

There have been a lot of fantasy stories and books in history. Are your stories completely original, or do you take any ideas from other authors such as J. R. R. Tolkien? And if so, how do you "conceal" that to make it sound as original as possible?

Good question. A friend & I were talking about near the same subject the other day. I am almost convienced that there really is nothing New to write.

 

After so many thousands of years on this planet, after some many trillions of brains have passed...I really think that every thought has already been thought, every dream has already been dreamt, every song, sung, every story told, every concept, concieved.

 

Everyone "takes" from someone, it's called inspiration.
