So what got you started with F..
Re: So what got you started with Fan fiction? and what do you enjoy abou ti?10 Years AgoI started fan fiction before I even knew what it was called! ^_^;; I just really liked writing stories, and I figured, "Hey, I can write about that!"
My favorite thing about fan fiction is that you can do whatever you want with it. Want to make Yugioh a horror story? Or Death Note a comedy? Well you can! :) |

Re: So what got you started with Fan fiction? and what do you enjoy abou ti?10 Years AgoI started Fanfiction about.. 3 years ago? I dabbled in it, at that point, and tried to write a lot of Black Butler adventure, but kept dropping it. After an introduction into a cowriting rp site, I saw this story that just, oh, it was amazing to me at that age. It was hilarious, and written by someone I could speak with, and it was just, SO fascinating that these stories were written by actual people, people with no profession in the subject.
Naturally, I was hooked after that one oneshot! Personally, what I enjoy the most about fanfiction is the endless direction people can take it. Everyone's given the exact same characters, the same canon relationships, and everyone twists and creatively crafts it into ways all their own. To be honest, it feels just.. Normal, particularly in comparision to writing original stuff, where EVERYTHING is on you. Original novels just seem so professional to me, though I have started a fair amount, but it seems like Fanfiction is just something people do for fun, for the worldwide, universal fandom of their topic :) Plus, I HEARTILY enjoy redefining the cliche 'Fanfiction' stereotype. Because I mean, who doesn't? |
