Now, going back to DeviantART. The simplest way I could esplain that place to you is to say that it's just a place to post up your art. Whether it be some form of writing, photography, paintings/drawing, etc. Any type of art. It's an interesting place. In all honest, though, if you want good reviews and not just things like "This is really good!" and "This is so cool!" I would stick to Writer's Cafe. Don't get me wrong, I love DeviantART, but so far this has been the best place I've found for getting actual comments/ reviews on my work that doesn't just take up space.
