His courage rose A Poem by Emma
a contest for given words: angelic, violet, medieval, metallic, exhaulting
sweet grew angelic breezing way
across the grasses softing lay,
and where the violet hung her head
upon a mossy pillowed bed
once did stray medieval knight ..
his advent crept in starshone light;
metallic clink ‘gainst drawbridge frame
his courage rose in this ungame,
for he was here to claim his bride
exhaulting much to stand his side ..
he fought, he battled with his foe
then sung he loud and then did go
with her, his love, his only love
and blissful so, thanked He above.
