Spiders, dying without ever having achieved anything...and I don't know, I think I might have a slight claustrophobia thing? Big crowds make me anxious since a part of me is always afraid they're going to turn into a stampede or angry mob, plus I'm just generally bad with people and if rush hour on the tube gets especially bad, I start to feel too closed in though it's not so bad I can't endure it.

Also, Tsubaki...what is Teke Teke?

1. Everything that can go wrong, goes wrong
2. The world will be the same even if I don't exist
3. Something happen that completely change our life forever (bad way, of course)

1, Forever being in a monotone life.
2. Hated by my family.
3. Back stabbed by those I thought as friend. (Had several experience, I'm actually a little paranoid now.)

1. Failing those who depend on me.
2. Dying before my wife.
3. Dying after my wife.

A word about fear. As Epictetus, one of the great Stoic philosophers, says:

"Freedom is the only worthy goal in life. It is won by disregarding things that lie beyond our control."

Much of what we fear are things which we have little or no control over in life. Better to let events take their course, and focus on what we can control - our actions and choices. Then all of our energy goes to effective use instead of spilling out of us like so much water from a bucket. The ancient Stoics were amazing people and were not at all what we think of as 'stoic' today, neither emotionless nor passionless. I read a book on them recently and learned their practice of "Negative Visualization" which is surprising and something I hadn't thought of doing before.

** End Takeshi's unsolicited info dump on Stoicism ** :P
