Chi-town Coffee Lounge Forum Allow Me to Introduce Myself! ..

Hi, I know I'm not a moderator or an administrator or any other kind of -ator, but as a Chicago-based writer, I would like to see more activity here! So I thought I'd get the ball rolling with a "Let's Introduce Ourselves!" thread.

I'll go first :)

Hi, my name is Katherine! I'm a chicago-based fledgling author. I'm a university student at LUC, going into my last year, but this fall I'll be studying abroad in Europe.
I write prose most of the time, and am working on several projects, both novel and short in length. I had my first novel, The Halfling, published through Publish America when I was a senior in high school, and for all its flaws, it is an accomplishment of which I am immensely proud :) Currently, I am in the process of getting my foot in the door of the national publishing industry, through literary journals and the ever-frustrating agent hunt.
