sexual harrassment

so since we are all sharing (insert dr phil joke now) - i'm f*****g pissed off at where i work. don't get me wrong, i love my job, i'm grateful i have a job, but there are days....it's better now but here's the highlight...

i've worked here for f*****g 10 years - i'm not gonna lie, i'm a flirt, i'm decent looking, i'm friendly, i'm considerate, i'm honest...but you know, i have morals....

well, i'm sick of being smacked on the a*s, pinched, forced to look at porn (and not in a good way), told degrading jokes, touched in inappropriate ways (hugs, pats, etc.)...and yet the f*****g a******s that do it are my employers and they can f*****g go spend millions of dollars on new cars, trips, insignificant superficial crap....and yet won't bother to fix up the office we work in or give us decent raises to compensate for the cost of insurance increasing, or to take care of our own f*****g families, while they all tote off to africa and alaska for these posh hunting trips or got to the next NFL game and brag about how they got to sit next to Tiger Woods....then they expect you to just jump when they say how high...and stupid me...I do it.

i'm sick of them bitching b/c all the stoners, crackheads and drunks that come to work for us never show up or b***h about s**t or don't do a job right, but yet they pay them s**t pay - so why would they? at least those people are loyal, at least they tell you like it is....the ones that were worth their dollar they ran off b/c their corporate egos were to big to compete with the talent....why do you think i f*****g spend all god damn day on the internet instead of doing my job?

First, I agree with you 100% that the sexual harrassment is f*****g bullshit. Deserving of a severe a*s-kicking at least. What the f**k? So you work there ... doesn't mean they own your a*s. Bunch of ignorant, uncaring a******s. Sadly, all too common. Bet they watch a lot of "Grey's Anatomy" too :) What TV teaches "adults", more less the kids.

On a broader note, I've resigned myself that corporate America sucks. Doesn' tmatter where you work, it's all basically the same game. People controlling you who are half as smart, with no human morals. If they can scam the raise you deserve and put it in their pocket, I'll be damned if they won't. Invest in you to make your job better? Haha! Go f**k yourself. Not a dime more than necessary. You don't like it? Leave - they know there's someone behind you that needs a crappy job. Nice relationship, huh?

Okay, end rant. Just wanted to say you're not alone, even if I'm a guy. BTW, no good-looking woman has pinched my a*s yet :) Wonder why? (That's a joke, BTW)

Yeah, I agree with you, sexual harassment is not something that should be even remotely tolerated by anyone, be it woman, man, child, elder, gay, straight, hermaphrodite....ok I'm straying, but you know what I mean.lol I definitely learned my lesson this summer while visiting the wonderful city of Paris...let me tell you about it.

Plain and simple, my friend and I were waiting to get on at a Metro station and eating a couple of Panini's. (Yummy!:)lol Anyway, these people start coming up to us, crowding around us, two or three at first and then a whole swarm of them descended upon us, and they were trying to sell us a magazine-type-thing for a couple of Euros. Well, telling them 'no thank you' wasn't enough. They started giving us guilt trips on how we were sitting there eating and they couldn't afford to feed their families. Of course, I didn't understand this part until later; from the guy's reactions I thought he merely wanted a bite of my food, so I offered it to him. When the train came, my friend and I tried to make our way through these people, but the same guy stopped me by taking my hand and then leaned up to give me a simple kiss on the cheek. Of course, as I know this is a common French custom, I simply said thank you and goodbye...but as I let go of the man's hand he thought it was 'ok' to grab my breast firmly as I passed by him. ----This was the first time that anything like this has happened to me, it was surreal at the moment and I walked on in shock and disbelief, telling my friend what had just taken place.

Some people I know would say, big deal, so what if he grabbed your breast, get over it. Nope, sorry, wrong...BIG F*****G DEAL.

I was, no doubt, quite disgusted by this incident and chose to talk about it with an older male professor of mine, accompanying us on the trip. After talking with him about it, a person I regarded as a father figure mind you, I now am COMPLETELY confident that if someone was to try to pull that s**t again, you know...touching my body without my permission, somehow equating in their minds that it is ok to do that to another human being without any consequences what-so-ever....I will slap the holy living F**K right out of them, not even playing.lol

I would suggest the same to anyone. No one has a right to touch you if you do not want them to. Stand up for yourselves, because that's the only way it's going to stop.

Btw, thanks Vince for this awesome group....oh and by the way, I think you need to 'Be down with the clown', we could use another comic like yourself over there;)

Lata.
