Bad A*s Poets Talking S**t Forum Realization

So here I am chillin. Smokin, and thinkin, and ultimately creatin. I was trying to come up with something that would help us as writers, I can't personally come up with a method that will teach us to write better, but I did come up with this:

If you really ever want to make it. You have to have range. Nobody wants to read a poetry book filled with all of the smae old same ol. So with our little assignments I thing we should gear them to expand our overall load. So that if the time does come where this s**t FINALLY catches on, you have an arsenal of weapons rather then just a gun. I think we should pick spacific topics that will relate to an audience and attempt to f**k them right up.

I was overly amazed and in awe of the first write for this group. Some people put s**t out there that should be commended for it's bravery and openess. I applaud avery f*****g one of you that took the time to take this seriously. A special mention goes out to Belle, who is so damn unappreciated in this site.

Belle sweetie, you kick a*s. You are the VP of this group fer sure.

I am think that our next write should be about one of the following:

The News
High School
Your Mother
or
Your Best Friend

lets give an opinion. Also, I took note of who participated in the last one. For those who didn't...again, not tryin to be a dick...but two strikes you're out. This group has a purpose. I am not my own fan club, and I can shoot the s**t with you in the regular cafe. Get my point?

I think that maybe if it isn't a taxing bother that maybe it would be interesting to have others rework a piece of ours. I would like to take someones short fickshun or pure poesy and amp it up for a slam just by hitting the right beats. and quid pro quo for my s**t that has tricks to make it more interesting. will any of it hold for a real tale.

As for topics - Mom is always a hot button that can go several directions.

i skipped high school and jumped to college
my mom is.. mom
and i just spent more than 12 hours being held hostage with my best friend by her psycho ex. jesus christs.

Ilene- I think that a fantastic idea, a little scary, but yeah, it would prove for an interesting little activity. We should plan that for next week sometime.

I hope I'm not coming off as some sort of Hitler, It's just I want to be published, and since I have joined this site I have seen differences in my poetry. I want to keep growing...I can taste the f*****g light at the end of this tunnel...I so want to get a sun burn..

I vote for the News poem. Lord knows I've beat the mother poems to death and I'm in a mood to write about current events. :-)

I have enough fodder on my Mom to write a book that would get me in a lot of trouble...

Nice words, Vince. I will definetily contribute to the next group writing session thing. I'm so sorry I missed the last one, but I had so much stuff going on (the contest, work possibilites etc.) I'd say High School because I'd like to share my very alternative school experience with you all.

I never said I hated my mom....I just had a very, lets say, eventful childhood, that would give me lots to write about...lol

I think it's shaping up to be a battle between Moms and News..

Leah and I already have next weeks project under way, it's gonna be great, just takes a minute to put together. Leah's idea, and we all know how great a mind she has. I will continue to look at everybodies views on this week, and make a decision by tomm.

So even though my home hours are stuck in the middle of renovation chaos, I spend more then eight hours a day bored out of my f*****g tree at work. . .and since I missed the last one, I should start being the "bad a*s" I know I can be. . .lol. . .I'm in on this one V. I vote News . . .

For the record I do not hate my mom. But like Kelly, I had an eventful childhood culminating in her death. Blah. Too many words wasted on that.

dude I like ilenes 'work over' idea:) thats a new one and you know sometimes its hard to be real with yourself about what needs to go and stay,
cowrites are fun, team up with someone youve never worked with before maybe bring that piece you care moderately bout then see if it can turned the fuuuuck out!...I also have no complaints if its all evoca I want to hear everyones voice....

Lets go on the news. I've written about my mom like crazy. Some of it is posted but some of it isn't. I don't hate my mom, it's more like I identify with her now more than ever. But there is a lot in the news and current events.

okay peeps i'm slow, no internet at home (sorry)....i vote MOM all the way, and would love to take that a step further making it generational (is that a word?) and talk about how condescending and pissed off i have always been at my grandmother and great grandmother before that....i like the idea of others re-working b/c i've had a lot of success this week in that area.

ps - belle is definitely the s**t!
