This was just a thought, and please don't get mad and try to slit my throat... but I was thinking of holding some friendly competition between group members.

I was thinking of choosing two or more members in the group (me not being excluded), and giving them a topic to write about. This would happen every week, starting on a Sunday and ending on a Friday.

I don't think we have to decide on a "winner" or anything, so I guess it would be more like a prompt thing for certain people who WANT to do it. I just would love to see how much harder people would come with "competition" here and how people would differently write about the topic. I really want to see the different styles with everyone on a common prompt. (That's my real goal.) I'm interested. The prompts would be fun and crazy, and open for suggestions if you all want to do this.

Of COURSE, I don't want anyone rippin on another or doing some crazy junk...
This is just like a friendly competition to bring your best stuff to the table.

If this doesn't work, then I guess I'm just going to do a group contest thing weekly... but the reason I want to do it this way is because I want everyone to be involved and give them some challanges... ya know?

The people I pick for will be asked to enter their pieces in a group contest. Only those people can enter their works and only one medal will be awarded. I will then leave voting open to group members to choose who gets a medal!

If someone enters their piece in a competition whom is not supposed to be entered, I will disregard their work from voting.

How's that sound? Does it fly with you guys?

Yeah I'm for it as long as we make sure the person would actually be able to do it. But it sounds like it'd be fun.

I don't find any thing wrong in a little competition. Actually, if it helps produce better words in all of us, I find it more of an aid than a henderance. ::cool::
