WAKE-UP BREAKFAST BARS16 Years AgoPlain bran flakes are pretty blah, but these energy bars are totally delicious. 1/3 c. packed brown sugar 1/3 c. honey 1-1/2 c. peanut butter 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 5 c. bran-flakes cereal 1 pkg. (6 oz.) dried cranberries 1. Line a 9X9X2" baking pan w/ foil; set aside. In a lg. saucepan, stir together brown sugar & honey. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter & cinnamon til smooth. Stir in cereal & 1/2 c. cranberries til coated. 2. Pat mixture into prepared pan, pressing firmly. Press remaining cranberries on top. Cover & chill til set or up to 24 hrs. 3. To serve, use foil to lift mixture from pan; cut into sqs. Will keep in the refrigerator for three days. Makes 12-16 sqs.
