First Ever Novel

Hey Guys.

I've been working on my first attempt at writing a novel.  I've finally managed to type up the first to chapters to start getting some feed back.  I'm hoping to get a new chapter typed up each week.

Any thoughts or in put would be great to hear.  I really have no writing experience outside of old high school projects.  But I always enjoyed them.

So yeah.  Two chapters up, more to come.

Re: First Ever Novel

I remember what it was like to write my first novel. I was 16 years old. It took me 9 months and ended up being 422 handwritten pages about a orphaned sailor who stowed away on a ship that was on its way to some three ring island overrun by pirates. It was written in the first person perspective of a 26 year old male. I have no idea why I did it or where the idea came from (probably a dream as where most all my books are born) but I'm sure if I went back to read it now I would be mortified, haha. A lot of writers attempting their first novel talk about the fear they have when they first start, how they worry that they might hit a block or that no one will like their stories. My best friend told me she is terrified of writing a book because of how intimidating it all is. Props to you for taking that first step. It is so rewarding to feel a finished book in your hands. I've finished 4 and each one brings so much joy and satisfaction with it.
