Between Two Trees...by Michael

The Hammock rested between two trees. Henry was on it, resting for a little before setting up the outdoor grill. He was the owner of the house and backyard property where in two hours his guests would arrive for an outdoor barbeque. He invited ten people who were allowed to bring one guest with them. Henry wasn't surprised when twenty people showed up and he prepared enough food and drink ahead of time. Beer, wine, mixed drinks, along with burgers and hot dogs and other foods adorned his backyard July fourth holiday weekend bash. Friends he knew came with guests that he didn't know, but eventually was introduced to all of them. One of those guests seemed to eat and drink the same exact thing as Henry did. Hamburgers and beers. The color of her clothes were even the same as his which indicated at least three things in common right off the bat. Harriet sat on the hammock between two trees as Henry joined her, each with their favorite beer in one hand. The rest of the backyard seemed to disappear, as the two of them were totally focused on each other. Even the hammock was a thing that they both loved during the summer in each of their own backyards. The party was finally over as his friends and their guests started to leave. From his upstairs bedroom window, there was a view of his entire backyard. That was what Henry had to look at after waking suddenly from a deep sleep. It was between two trees that one of the guests fell asleep on. They woke up together that late morning on the same hammock, with their arms wrapped around each other. Eventually Harriet sold her house and moved in with Henry. The now husband and wife can be found during summer holidays in their backyard together. Most likely with burgers and beers, and probably cuddling for the night on a hammock between two trees........Maybe it was a good idea to have his friends invite one guest. It sure turned out for a future together in this short love story about Henry and Harriet, between two trees......
