New to the writing world and looking for editing direction for weird novel

Hey guys,

So I'm a musician who has always loved writing (either lyrics or other stuff) but have never really done anything with it that I felt was worth doing anything with (other than lyrics). But it has so happened that I've written a novel (50k+ words) in my spare time and now I have no idea what to do with it. I know someone besides me need to look at it but most of my friends are musicians as well and I'm having trouble finding people who have the time and expertise to look at it and tell me what needs to be done to it. To make matters worse, it's a pretty weird book. I love Joyce and David Foster Wallace and the book is kinda in that vein, with really strange large scale structure and kinda experimental prose. But at the same time, if I had to classify it in a genera the closest I could get would be some sort of fantasy/sci-fi/cyberpunk category. So I want to find an editor (or at least a sounding board) who is open to kinda post-modern/experimental-ish fiction, and can offer advice from within that world, but at the same time will help me from keeping it so confusing that no one can understand it. I don't want to write a book that only I understand. I also don't want to subject someone to reading this fairly long, strange book if it's not something they're going to be interested in, but I guess that's something that comes up with any sort of reviewing process.

As I said, music has always been my thing, and I know from that how much time and effort goes between writing a song and actually get it out into the world in some form (practicing, recording, producing, mixing, mastering, publishing, etc) and I assume it's the same sort of thing in the literary world as well, but I just don't know the process. Any direction or advice about where I should start looking would be appreciated.

thanks in advance,

-Graham
