here was my take on today's prompt. {auld lang syne}
______________________________________________________________

when i had no shine, i used your eyes to sparkle my day to day.
now i search for the sun to fill my days with temporary shine.

when the forest was gone, i made trees out of your arms that held me close.
now i let the shade make me feel whole embracing my body from head to toe.

when love was gone, i found love in your smile only meant for me.
now i realized it was never truly mine to call my own.

when my home disappeared, i made a home in the depths of your heart.
now i just stare numb at your no vacancy sign on the place i once called home.

When I had no shine, I used flint and steel and a passion for sparkle.

When the forest was gone, I made trees out of stone and their leaves out of fire.

When love is gone, I find love on the nights I dream about you.

When my home disappeared, I made a home out of sweets, serving as both a house and a treat.
