My name is Glenn Davis Jr. I am not clever enough to come up with a pen name I suppose...... Oh well. I was born and raised in South Louisiana, about an hour below New Orleans, pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I loved it there. Small town life is pretty fun when you know everyone. I moved to the Mississippi coast about 9 months before Katrina..... that didn't work out so well..... haha. Since then i have been all over the place, from Florida to North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, and Back to Mississippi ( a little further North this time).
I write poetry mostly. I started writing when i was a kid but mostly wrote short stories. As I got older i moved on to trying to write songs and hip hop. I suppose from hip hop I switched to spoken word. I rather like the freedom in spoken word. No limitations to a 4/4 snare.... My favorite author as of now is Kahlil Gibran. I don't think he will ever be replaced but I am back into reading more again so you never know. I am a huge fan of Taalam Acey, Saul Williams, Black Ice, and quite a few other spoken word artists, not to mention hip hop, and punk rock artists. I usually have some sort of social or political theme to my poetry but sometimes i just like to kick back and have some fun with wordplay. We can't be serious all the time...
And if you are bored here is some music for your enjoyment..........
