About Me
My father was Spanish high school teacher. And our family lived in Spain when I was eight, so I learned the language quickly. We traveled much during that time, from the many provinces of Spain, to France, Germany, Holland, and England. We also saw many of the ruins, aquaducts and castles of Europe. I learned the language from my father speaking nothing but Spanish to me while we were there, as well as from my friends in school. When I was 11 my dad and I traveled to Mexico to look for a family for me to live with the following year. When we arrived, we located our church in the Monterrey, Nuevo Leon area, and found many nice families to get aquainted with. The next year, I attended 7th grade at La Secundaria Morelos. I learned not only more Spanish, but also how to be independant enough as a young girl to be able to live many miles away from my California home.
