I am lazy!, I also love writing – mainly to avoid housework. In the past to avoid housework, I studied qualifications such as Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and qualifications in investment, pension funds, technology, supply chain, health and education. I put a lot of work into avoiding housework even becoming a Seta accredited assessor, moderator, designer, and developer, I met the minimum required experience criteria, just after Noah parked the ark to be considered a subject matter expert (old).

The" old” epitaph is probably why I was asked by Discovery to become a Group Compliance Manager and Compliance Specialist. Despite my best attempts to avoid it I was made head of the Regulatory Training program for five years. I enjoyed training so much that I started a training company: “Naked Mindz” and embraced a life of poverty as a keyboard warrior writing nonfiction. In-between staring at the wall for inspiration, I wrote a few academic books. Juta kindly published the A-Z of GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance Simplified) on its second edition and Project Management for Compliance (out of print). Three other books are available- a retirement book named Yesterdays’ People and the Woman’s Guide to Leadership as well as a fiction novel for young adults named Dragon Born. My drooling scribbling resulted in publishing in periodicals and magazines, such as the Corporate journal and courses on platforms such as Udemy, LFE and GO1.

On the long journey of my existence, I was asked to consult for the Southern Africa Compliance Practitioner qualification and for the Financial Planning Institute’s” Fit and Proper” Standards. The blame for this lies in me setting exams in multiple Financial Services areas. The overflow of knowledge meant I set international courses with the Global Academy of Finance and Management (trained though the High-Level Training Institute). These courses included CRA Certified Risk Analyst ®, CPAM ™ Chartered Pension Analyst Manager ™, CWM Chartered Wealth Manager ®, CGRCBP Certified Governance, Risk and Compliance Best Practices™, CCP ™ Certified Compliance Professional ™ and CCO™ Compliance Officer ™.

Naked Mindz became a focus for persons looking for more fun (use your imagination with the name. (PS we didn’t!) and slowly morphed into 5th Evolution Training. The journey took me into getting certificates in supply chain compliance as well as international law with the International Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Institute. This involved the American Certification Institute, the Cattan Services Group, the Global Negotiation Institute, and the American Purchasing Society.

Special people thought I should get recognition and a few awards (without me resorting to bribery and corruption) and as such I was the first woman panelist appointed to the Zurich Club. Other awards included a Certificate Of Appreciation from Germiston City Council, Management, Training and even an FPI Starts with me award, which I confess is displayed on my wall.

Trauma sent me on a journey to become an internationally registered certified hypnotherapist, (IMDHA) studying psychology, and that morphed into a love for African traditional plants (not just the smoking types). For a time, I became a pale skin who was included on the register for approval as an African Traditional Healer.
