About Me

I'm a 37 year old aspiring writer. I have been since I thirteen. Three years ago I was granted admission to Boise State University and moved to Boise to learn more about the only real competency I've ever had. I promised myself that I would learn the craft of writing from as many instructors as I could. I don't leave attach that definition to only my instructors either. I've learned a great deal from other writer's. I'm a shy person, although I've since learned the value in reaching out to other writer's and creating a network of writing friends.

My Perception Chronicles is an article blog where I post short essays about personal experiences in my life and how they can affect everyone. It's really a look at my perceptions of those things. All though the sight has problems with the photos right now the articles are still readable. I'm not a web site genius and i'm working on fixing the photos.

I've also delved into short story writing. I owe that to my collage education since i've had to write 4 stories so far as assignments. I'm learning at BSU that my prose is pretty, my descriptions are beautiful, my ideas are well crafted, although i'm hopelessly plot challenged. I can't storytell my way out of a wet paper sack. ;)

I hope that you all enjoy my work and leave comments on how I can make my writing better. I welcome the Simon Cowel's of writing too. I certainly don't want to be the William Hung of writing.

Thank you very much for reading.
Mel
