Sometimes a poem comes to me and refuses to leave. Such is the case with this one.

This poem is a sister piece to my short story, "Broken."

This piece was inspired by listening to music played on the piano.

This poem was inspired by my interactions with individuals who were homeless in Philadelphia.

This story was inspired by a challenge to write a first person perspective from the point of view of an inanimate object.

I wrote this poem while struggling to be true to my family and friends.
