Writing
|
About MeWell, my name is Eric, and I like to read, write, make movies, watch movies, play piano, and SO MUCH MORE.
I may be young in years, but in experience, I'm much older. I don't spend my time on a cell phone. Instead, I spend it writing. I mostly write stories/books, but let's throw some poems in there as well! I envy anyone who finds writing poetry natural and easy, 'cause though I love it, I'm just not that great. I don't stick to particular topics in my writing, much as I like writing subtle fantasy and horror. I get inspired by anything from nature to sudden philosophical thoughts to other works of fiction. Some of my favorite books are: -To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee -Wicked, by Gregory Maguire -Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo -Dune, by Frank Herbert -Foundation, by Isaac Asimov -Misery, by Stephen King -The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, by L. Frank Baum -The Lord of the Rings, by J.R.R Tolkien -Harry Potter, by J.K. Rowling, as well as so many more. All of the books listed inspire my writing, as well as many others. I can't determine myself whether I'm a good writer or not, but I love doing what I do, and I hope that becomes apparent through my writing. NOTES ON REVIEWING: Notes for individual stories, chapters, poems, etc. are with those pieces. However, in general, please DO NOT simply say "I like it," or, "This sucks." Constructive criticism and informed praise is helpful. Let me know what you think of the characters, the plot, the dialogue, whatever. As for ME reviewing YOUR story, poem, book, etc.? I'll gladly take requests. I love to proofread other stories, and I'm always searching for new talent and something new to read. ------------------- Reading currently: Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo -and- The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, by Steig Larsson |
