I have always enjoyed writing. I got my first full time job when I was 19 and spent a large amount of my wages on a computer (back when computers were very expensive) with the sole intention of writing a book. After around 6 months of writing I came to my computer one day to find that all my documents had disappeared... irretrievable! My sister had accidentally reinstalled my system and fully formatted my entire hard drive. I wasn't prepared to start again so that was the end of my first jaunt into writing. In hindsight it was probably a good thing. I was young, immature (for a 19 year old), and did not have the life experience to write characters or stories with any substance and depth. 13 years later and while I don't have time to write a whole novel, the urge to write has never really left me, so I thought I would give short stories a go. Hopefully I can get some constructive feedback from a community of writers and learn to write properly.
